Stephanie received feedback from multiple viewers on her documentary. Some positive feedback included comments that the documentary was "very interesting" and "put together brilliantly". However, several viewers mentioned that the voiceover needed to be louder relative to the background music. This feedback helped Stephanie realize that the loud music was distracting and she could have made the documentary more appealing by balancing the audio levels differently. Overall, the feedback showed aspects the documentary did well but also opportunities for improvement in the future.

What have you learnt from your audience feedback
1. What have you learnt from your
audience feedback?
Stephanie Molyneux
2. • After putting my documentary on twitter I received this
feedback from Elisa who thinks it is ‘very interesting’ and
made her want to watch the rest of the documentary.
The criticism she gave us was that our framing for our
interview with Hypnotherapist. Dawn Reynolds-Smith
wasn’t as good as it could have been. When we was
editing our documentary we did try to change the size of
the clip to make it look more professional.
3. • We knew the print advertisement wasn’t the best part of
our overall 3 productions. This also seconds the comment
that our banners could have been more interesting as they
were very plain. However he did comment saying the
editing on the picture was ‘’nice’’ which shows that the
print advertisement wasn’t that bad.
4. • Again, someone has mentioned that the text needs to
be clearer which we are aware of. However, although
the banners weren't to a high quality, the oveall focal
image of the print ad was very difficult to make and I
think considering the editing was complimented it
makes it look more professional.
5. • Sharon thought the documentary
was ‘very interesting’ as the
interview with the wet cardboard
‘made her smile’ which shows that
the documentary is entertaining as
well as informative.
6. • Jennifer commented that the documentary was ‘very professional’
and also that the questions we asked people were ‘open’ which
shows how we tried to make the questions more open to get more
interesting and honest answers out of the general public. Also she
said the film was ‘put together brilliantly’ which we were surprised
about as we didn’t know whether the way it was edited was
detailed and interesting enough.
7. • Lauren commented on facebook that ‘Lots of
intellectual information, good range of people
that were interviewed’ which represents that
our interviews with the hypnotherapist and
psychology teacher made a difference to our
documentary as without that it wouldn’t of
looked so professional and wouldn’t of
appealed to our target audience. The negative
feedback she gave us was that our voice over
could have been ‘’slightly louder and the
music slightly quieter at the beginning’ which
we didn’t think was a problem until another
person also said the same thing. We wanted
to make the music loud so that it would be
more entertaining for the audience however I
see how it does seem a bit distracting for the
audience.
8. • Bethany also brought up the same criticism as
Lauren by saying the ‘’Voice over bit needs to
be louder, or the music quieter’’. This is good
feedback as we have realised what is too
distracting for the audience and how we could
of made our documentary more appealing.
9. • Lisa commented saying that
although our documentary
was ‘’professional and
interesting’’ that again, there
was ‘’a little part where the
sound of music was a little too
high for the voice over’’. This
is now something I completely
agree with, although it isnt a
major problem it has still
affected how professional our
documentary looks.
