Issued in 2000, New Crete (pronounced "Nea Kriti") is the first Cretan
newspaper circulating throughout the island. The paper follows European
newspapers standards in appearance and theme, issued from Monday to
Saturday (58-60pp, 12.000 copies, 3.000 subscribers), along with a weekly
sports magazine.
Apart from the printed edition, readers can also have access in the
newspaper's content via mobile phones (iOS) and PC.

The project
In 2012 Cycle SA proceeded to the radical reorganization of its
information system, selecting newsasset Publishing Edition after an
extensive market research for the ideal editorial, content management
and multi channel distribution platform.
The solution
Nea Kriti took advantage of the Integrated newsroom concept to secure
the joint creation, management and distribution of primary news content
for each outlet, via a single editorial team, with no special skills.
The solution was enhanced with the Web Access subsystem, which
provided full editorial and news coverage functionality even remotely.
The Layout Director module bridged the Integrated newsroom team and
the Production Department (i.e. layout process) through interactive
features and automatic paging processes
