Live Search Onboarding
Onboarding has a lot going on in the background, but can be broken down to just a few user facing
steps:
1. Install the Live Search metapackage
2. Configure your API credentials
3. Index products from your Magento catalog to our SaaS infrastructure
▪ Magento indexers will prepare catalog data to be synced and with the next cron cycle data will
be exported to backend
▪ On the backend indexation happens to create an index in ElasticSearch
4. Disable ES modules
▪ No need to host your own ElasticSearch service

Search popover
▪ React app makes calls directly to Search SaaS
▪ Faster response times since it does not get routed through Magento

Category Browse & Search results
▪ Uses a plugin for Magento's SearchInterface to serve search results from our SaaS instead of
Magento's ES modules
▪ Search results are routed through Magento
▪ Javascript SDK available for your own implementation
