Located in Kariobangi, the Center serves women and girls from the surrounding slum communities, providing lunch, internet access, specialized training, and recreational activities. About the Center
The Global FICCS Women’s Center, located on Outer
Ring Road in Nairobi, is designed to provide young
women and girls with a safe and secure environment
to learn, develop and they can be themselves
without outside interference.
The facility provides the participants with health
training, life and career skills, computers and cooking
classes. The goal of the Center is to provide the
women with the skills necessary to acquire
employment or pursue further educational studies.
Located in the Kariobangi, the Center is the ideal
location for the women and girls we service in the
slum communities. The participants walk to the
center where they are provided daily lunch, access to
Internet, specialized training and a place to relax and
enjoy themselves. The facility includes:
• Health Training Classroom with Projector
• Computer Classroom
• Fitness Center
• Kitchen/Office/3 Bathrooms
• All Purpose/Lunch Room
Medical Camps
Visiting and local doctors and nurses provide free
medical camps. In May 2014, 150 women and
children received dental check ups via USA dentist.
Healthy Hearts
Global FICCS is a registered Kenyan Medical
NGO, which provides charity heart surgeries for
poor and needy Kenyans, trains local medical
workers and donates medical equipment to local
hospitals and clinics.

Health Training
Year long health-training classes are designed to provide
women with the essentials to live a healthy life. Training
includes, hygiene, first aid, CPR and much, much more.
Preventing illness and support with items such as sanitary
pads help the young women to become more productive.
Pictured left is our health-training classroom, which can
accommodate up to 30 participants.
Nutrition
The Center offers a daily nutrition program, which
includes lunch, cooking classes and nutrition training
and support. Women learn how to bake healthy meals
and are trained in kitchen hygiene, kitchen safety and
food preparation. Daily nutritional support helps the
women become more productive and it improves
classroom attendance and participation. Pictured right,

Career and Life Skills
The Center provides women and students with career
oriented training to give them better job opportunities in
the future. Training includes computers, leadership,
business, after school programs and more. The women
pictured left are making beads and bags for sale at the
Hawker’s Market Girls Centre in Nairobi.
Fitness
The Center provides fitness classes and fitness training to
help promote healthy living and healthy hearts. The open-
air fitness center (pictured right) is a perfect place for
yoga and other stress relieving activities.
