WOLLASTON CERTIFICATE IN
THEOLOGY - CRITICAL THINKING
TERM 3
We have an upcoming unit, Critical Thinking, which is one of the
term 3 offerings for the Wollaston Certificate in Theology.
Achieving a high level of critical thinking is one of the most
important goals of education. This unit aims to enhance the
thinking and communication skills that are fundamental to your
studies.
Employers in most professions and industries regard these abilities
as essential. Effective thinking demands rigorous and reasoned
analysis, imagination and insight. In this unit you will develop and
practise these skills and learn how to structure a successful
argumentative essay.
The unit is taught by Associate Professor Lubica Ucnik from the
Philosophy department at Murdoch University.
Dates: Tuesday evenings, 3, 10, 17, and 24 September
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Venue: Murdoch Worship Centre at Murdoch University
Cost: $120 for credit, $80 to audit.
Students can contact info@wtc.perth.anglican.org for more
information or to enrol.

A LASTING
COMMUNITY
A long time member of our
community, Val Pearson, has
moved into Amana Living. It
would be great for members
of our community to write to
her while she cannot attend
St Paul's. Val's address is:

CONFIRMATION
CELEBRATION
Last Sunday the confirmation
of Toni McAllen was a
wonderful, unifying service.
Thank you to all those who
contributed in any way.
Thank you also to those who
stayed for a shared lunch to
support Toni in her walk with
God. As lunch organiser I am
really thankful and indebted
to all who helped set up,
clean up and share in a
happy community lunch with
Toni and Bishop Kate.
