Maatschappij (NAM).
 Facilitation of HAZOP and SIL assessment (IPF) studies for gas processing plants and well locations
throughout the Netherlands based on Shell DEP standards.
 Performing Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) assessment and design using SIF Pro (Shell software).
 Identifying and closing out recommendations and follow-up actions as a result of safety studies.

Consulting and facilitation of process safety and external safety studies for a gas processing plant located in
Rioja Region, Spain.
 Facilitation of HAZID, HAZOP and SIL assessment studies for the gas processing plant including the well
area and transport pipeline based on IEC standards (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 / IEC 61882).
 Execution of QRA studies for the gas plant, well area and transport pipeline; application of ALARP principle
for risk reduction.
 Execution of QRA to identify risks to personnel within the plant area with respect to manning levels and
occupancy rate in buildings.
 Performing dispersion modelling studies for developing blowdown, fire and gas detection philosophies –
Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA).
Hengyi Petrochemical Plant, Pulau Muara Besar, Brunei Darussalam
Consulting for and facilitating safety studies for a petrochemical plant located in Brunei.
 Facilitating FEED stage HAZID studies for the petrochemical plant to be built in Pulau Muara Besar (PMB)
in Brunei.
 Developing the corporate HSE plan for the proposed petrochemical plant in accordance to South-East
Asian legislations.
 Performing a risk assessment study and developing a safety framework for the proposed bridge project,
linking PMB and mainland Brunei. Recommendations of the risk assessment study were submitted to the
Brunei authorities for implementation.

Developing safety cases and facilitating process safety studies for several onshore and offshore gas locations
in the North Sea.
 Facilitating HAZOP studies for onshore gas processing plant, owned and operated by Wintershall.
 Developing safety cases for several offshore platforms owned and operated by Wintershall – Dropped
Objects assessment, Helicopter risk assessment, Safety Critical Equipments, Emergency Systems
Survivability study, Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment.
