The current education system does not adequately serve the needs ofyoung people in 21st century
Ireland. Its' design brings about frustration and lack of fulfillment. Many students feel lost and end
up frequently changing their minds toward third level education.I believe two ofthe core reasons
for this problem are the methods used to measure students’abilities as well as a lack ofindependent
learning in the education system.
What are Spectrum Assessments ?
Recently launched in Ireland, Spectrum Assessments are online self-awareness questionnaires
aimed at Second Level students. Using information supplied by the students, it gathers information
