3. Introduction
• When we have all the technologies to revolutionize our life, it’s
a great idea to develop a system which can be controlled and
monitored from anywhere.
• So, for this project shows how to take photos with a Raspberry
Pi when motion is detected. It can be used as a burglar detector,
to take wildlife photos or in other applications and then it send
the photos or the pictures to the Gmail.
• For this project we’ll be using a raspberry pi version2 camera
and code will be written in python programming language. we
need access to IP on the internet.
7. Circuit
We only need to connect Pi Camera module and PIR sensor to
Raspberry Pi2. Pi Camera is connected at the camera slot of the
Raspberry Pi and PIR is connected to GPIO pin 11.

Package picamera use for
raspberry pi camera and
the package smtplib use
allow set up to Gmail
sever.

10. Program
We create directory and file to save image
after the camera capture picture.
We declare GPIO 11 because we will
receiver output from sensor.
It will check about directory if we haven’t create yet. It will
create automate. It set ID of each image and Image save with
difference ID.
