Dear students/aspirants, IITJAM, acronym for Indian Instituteof Technology-
Joint Admission Test are for those of you who have completed your Bachelor’s
and are willing to pursueMaster’s in the prestigious IITs. But beforeapplying
for the exams, you need to know a few essential details.
General info:
a) Itis open to all nationals. There is no age restriction.
b) Candidates seeking admission to the academic programmes covered
under JAM need to appear in the exam.
c) Itis a Computer based ONLINEexamination.
d) To apply for admission to a desired programme, a candidate is required
to qualify in the relevant Test Paper and also satisfy the Minimum
Educational Qualifications (MEQ) and Eligibility Requirements of the
respective academic programme.
e) The candidates who have either appeared or are due to appear in the
final examination of their qualifying degree in the sameyear are also
eligible to appear. By qualifying, they can apply for provisionaladmission
subjectto the condition that: 1) all parts of their final examination shall
be completed by the date of registration of the Admitting institute, and
2) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility,
as specified by the admitting institute, will be submitted by 30th
September.
f) Qualified candidates have to apply for admission as per the prescribed
procedureonly.
g) For admission, foreign nationals are required to satisfy the rules and
regulations of the admitting institute(s) pertaining to foreign students.
