6. Police Brutality
My fellow African American male face issues of
racial profiling, death and police brutality.
Wrongfully accused, and injustice puts African
American males in jail or in the ground. My
fellow man make up over 75% of the
population in penitentiaries across the United
States.
7. I’m a Member of i.c.stars because...
My original reason for coming to i.c.stars was to learn coding and get paid
doing it. Once I arrived & talked to Jeremy I started to feel grateful for
his interest in me being here going threw the application process. I also
had an opportunity to learn some interesting information from Jeremy
during the interview process. The stakeholders meeting totally change my
intentions and perception of i.c.stars. I was touched & surprised to learn
that i.c.stars actually was her to build leaders,create opportunities and
bridge the diversity gap that exist in the Information Technology field.
Being her for me is spectacular. It is also what I prayed for and more. Now
I’m still here to learn coding and get a stipend doing it, but I’m also here
to grow mentally, to find my voice, place, passion, cause, and to mold
into a leader in my community. I’M BEYOND BLESSED TO HAVE THIS
