I also felt this way, telling myself I could always move back if things didn't work out. I told my friends, and my father, that I would be back often
to visit, but even visits become few and far between. Two years after I moved, my father passed away. After his funeral, I never looked back and
have not returned to Ft. Myers...life moving us forward. The traveler's decision is made, and he projects that when he is older, he will look back on
his decision with reflection as demonstrated in the verse: "I shall be telling this with a sigh/Somewhere ages and ages hence" (Frost line 16–17). I
interpret the "sigh" as one of relief that he made the right decision. The lines: "I took the one less traveled by/And that has made all the difference."
(Frost line 19–20) imply the traveler took the more difficult, unknown road. It was the road "less traveled", the road "no step had trodden black"
(Frost line 12), meaning few people decide to take the harder road to get to the next stop on the journey. It was the courageous choice. Taking this

It all started by the relaxed and casual talks between my father and his best friends. I was elated to know that we were going for a vacation with five

I had only been camping once or twice and even then it was with all the comforts of modern camping gear. Was I ready for this?

I was lucky enough to be placed at Thornbury Primary School for my first week of placement. On many occasions throughout the five days I
assisted students with their work, from small group work to working one on one with students. At times it was difficult helping student as some

Life is a journey, not a destination. My journey as an individual has had highs and lows as my story is unique and not like most others. I grew up in
the state of Georgia in an all–American, Caucasian, middle class, Christian family. I am adopted, as I was born with a set of disabled parents who did
not have the capability to care for my four siblings and me. After being with a foster family for several years, the government finally placed my
siblings and me in the care of an excellent mother who soon adopted us. Through the eyes of a four–year–old little girl, life was perfect.
I am one of six children within my immediate family, five of which all have a disability ranging from mild to severe. I am not sure how it came to
be, but, I am the only sibling who does not have a disability. I have three brothers and two sisters. As time passed, my family, then merged with
another family, creating my now rather large blended family. I am currently one of ten children as I have five sisters and four brothers. The life
within my family is known to be a constant adventure as there is never a dull moment. For instance, due to the number of children we have that are
disabled, we are always traveling to therapies and doctor appointments. Through the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we never forget to slow down
and spend quality time with one another as we believe, a family is everything. As a family, not only do we believe that family is everything, we also
believe in keeping one's promises and commitments, advocating for the less fortunate, telling the truth, being respectful, and helping those in need.
Very much like my childhood, my mother was also raised by a single mother. Most lessons my mom has taken the time to instill in me, her mother also
instilled in her. At a young age, my mom had no choice but to care for her mother and younger sister due to her mother's illness. As my mom watched
her mother pass, she formed the character traits of strength, endurance, diligence, determination, and hard work as she found this to be the key to
success. During this incredibly tough time, my mother drew upon her Christian faith instilled in her by not only the example of her mother but her
grandmother and aunts as well.

Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the

Journeys can lead to significant personal change. The experiences you have on a journey can shape and change your perception of yourself and the
people around you. In 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' this is shown when Huck's beliefs change and he becomes more mature. Huck and Jim's
relationship also develops throughout the journey. Huck's perception of Jim at the beginning of the journey is very different compared to the end. At

When Learning Is A Lifelong Journey
When Learning Comes to Life John F. Kennedy regularly stated that, "learning and leadership are indispensable to one another" (Smith & Murray,
2002). This brief but poignant statement points to the fact that effective leaders are constantly learning; their education, both through formal and
informal channels, is a lifelong journey, rather than a destination. Serving as a Director in my organization while completing coursework toward my
Master's degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University's Catherine T. MacArthur School ofLeadership has provided me with a leadership laboratory, one
that simultaneously provides opportunities for daily learning and leading. Leadership, both in theory and in practice, can be observed, evaluated, and
understood within these two distinctly different environments. Now, over halfway through this graduate degree program, the path that remains still in
front of me is shorter than the one already behind me. The last 12 months of studies have caused significant change to the way that I view myself,
others around me, and the world as a whole. Personally, I have experienced immense growth as a leader. Specifically, I have noticed growth in the five
attributes of Goleman's (1998) emotional intelligence: self–awareness, self–regulation, internal motivation, empathy, and social skills. Additionally, I

Ultimately, I accept the moderate rating of personality. As depicted in other areas of the assessment, my personality is adaptable and flexible,
which is in many ways the standard operating expectation within the military. Values and Attributes Insights Integrity first...Service Before
Self...Excellence in All We Do! These are the core values of the United States Air Force. After fifteen and a half years, these core values are
branded into the depths of my being. However, we are taught through the ten commandments, that there are many other values that are
exponentially more important. This assessment proved as much as it showed power as my lowest score. I know God has ultimate power and
while I have free will here on earth, He has control. The rest of the values measured in the medium and high levels of importance. The highest were
in achievement and in benevolence, which I feel are spot on. My drive stems from my ability to achieve the goals I have set in personal, family,
faith, and work environments. While at the same time, compassion in all areas of my life are integral. God showed His compassion and love when
He sent His Son in John 3:16, "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not
