In the past, disabled students–students with physical and emotional/behavioral problems–were often segregated from the "normal classroom
environments." The segregation of students, either through special schools or home–based tutoring, was justified for various reasons. Separate schools
provided specialized services, tailored to meet the educational needs of children with a specific type of handicap. Moreover, this freed the regular
public schools of having to provide services and infrastructure needs of the disabled student population (Circle of Inclusion Project, 2003).
More recently, there has been a movement towards full inclusion––integrating students with disabilities into regular classes. In 1975, a law...show more

Some critics argue that placing a special needs education student in a regular classroom is likely to consume too much of an already overworked
teacher's attention.
Furthermore, some parents worry that the standards of the curriculum will lower due to inclusion of these students, and that the general students cannot
focus as well due to distractions.
Critics also note that there are significant administrative issues that must be addressed. Courses must be taught differently, and schools must be staffed
and managed differently. In some cases, schools may have to invest in significant capital improvements to accommodate students with special needs.
The National Education Association (NEA) recommends that inclusive class size be no higher than 28, and that disabled students should make up no
more than 25 percent of the class (Hines, R. 2001).
Even though teachers agree with the principle of inclusion, they may not feel prepared to work in inclusive settings. With full inclusion, there may be a
shift in classroom control and less individual space for the teacher––having to share the learning environment, which is not what the "traditionally
trained teacher" is accustomed to (Woolfolk, A. 2001). There is likely more time required for collaborative

Essay on Crime and the Media
Crime and the Media
The public depends on the news media for its understanding of crime. Reportedly three quarters (76%) of the public say, they form their opinions
about crime from what they see or read in the news (Dorfman & Schiraldi, 2001). After reviewing five hours of reality crime television shows,
one is left with a very dismal look on society and a prejudice towards minorities as they are largely depicted as the perpetrators of crime. This new
genre commonly referred to as reality television appears to be sweeping the nation by storm. Opinions vary, depending on whom you ask, to what
extent reality plays a role versus the selling of a product. Sensationalism, advertising, ratings hype, profiling and fear all comprise the mass...show more

The apprehension and subsequent arrest all dramatized for the cameras. The suspect, heard on camera being questioned about his past domestic
violence charges, his inability to pay child support and finally he is asked about the observed drug purchase.
Of the nineteen cases reviewed, drug related crimes were more prevalent. In cases involving African American suspects, the drug of choice was crack
cocaine. In suspects that were Caucasian, the drug of choice was methamphetamines. On the episode aired on May 5, 2005, COPS: Bad Girls, the
suspect, a Caucasian woman was selling drugs and prostituting (Langley, 2005). With the cameras rolling, the audience is able to overhear, that the
suspect is on welfare and has had her children taken away because of her drug habit. The suspect denies the charges, and the officer insists on making
the point that she is using her welfare money in order to purchase drugs.
In the cases reviewed, the program did not divulge the age. Upon observation, the average estimated age is twenty–five. Age did not appear to have any
particular correlation to the type of criminal activity. What appeared to be more in play was the socioeconomic scale of the suspects. The average age
and circumstances seem to strike a familiar vein with the cases reviewed. On average, the suspects were unemployed, residing with a family member, a
history of violence and drug use. This

Essay about Minority Report
Minority Report is a 2002 science fiction film directed by renowned director Steven Spielberg and is set in the year 2054 in Washington, D. C. The
film revolves around an elite law enforcing squad; Precrime. The Precrime Division uses three genetically altered humans called Pre–Cogs whom
possesses special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. After each crime is foreseen and analyzed, Precrime police officers are
sent to the crime location to apprehend the future murderers and place them under arrest. The future murderers are then put into a sleep state with a

Before he was haloed, Anderton managed piece back the puzzle and finally knew who set him up and as of why he was targeted. The reason was
because he knew about Anne Lively who is Agatha's mother. Anne Lively, a former drug addict when she had Agatha, came back wanting her child
back, and Burgess had to kill her in order to keep Precrime viable since Agatha is the strongest among all three Pre–Cogs. Burgess had then set up
Anderton to cover up Anderton's knowledge about Anne Lively'smurder. Lara, Anderton's wife felt suspicious with Lamar so she visited Anderton and
got him out of his sleep. During the celebratory dinner for the Precrime program, Anderton calls Burgess and confronts him while the Pre–Cog's footage
of Lively's death is played for the guests. During the moment when Burgess was searching for Anderton, the Pre–Cogs predetermined that Burgess was
going to shoot and kill Anderton. As Burgess finds and draws a gun on Anderton, Anderton notes to Burgess the dilemma that he is in: either he can
shoot and kill Anderton, therefore signifying that Precrime is a well established and flawless division however by doing so he will become a
murderer himself, on the other hand he can spare Anderton's life, thus showing that Precrime is nothing but a failure. All the hard work that they had

Ph Levels Lab Report Essay
The relatively close pH levels of Tap Water, Spring Water,
Flavored Water, and Seltzer Water.
Introduction
This experiment was performed to investigate the following hypothesis: The following four different types of drinking water (spring water, seltzer
water, tap water, and flavored water) we test will relatively have the same pH level.
Our group decided to test different types of drinking water to see if a pH level of tap water is comparable to other types of water. Many people believe
that city water has many chemicals, causing us to form the expirement to see how close the different types of drinking water's pH levels are.
Materials and Methods
For the first part of our exiperiment we used the Red Cabbage Indicator. Red...show more content...
We then moved the electrode in one of the beakers of water we wanted to test. We measured the pH level, recorded it, then placed it back into the
clean water it was orignally in. We repeated these steps for each of the different type of drinking water.
The control treatment in our expirement was thr red cabbage indicator. The dependent variable is the pH of the water. The independent variable is
the different types of drinking water ( tap water, spring water, seltzer water, and flavored water). The standard variables in the expirement are the
clean test tubes, the clean pipettes, the Paraflim, the pH tester, and the pH levels pH 2, pH 4, pH 6, pH 7, pH 8, pH 10, and pH 12.
Results
Table 1 shows the standard of the standard of the expirement. It is used to compare the color of the red cabbage expirement to form an educated
guess on the pH level of the different types of water. Table 2 shows the pH numbers we got from the red cabbage expirement and from the pH tester.
This informations enables to compare the red cabbage and the pH tester numbers in order to prove the red cabbages accuaracy, and to prove our
hypothesis that all of the pH numbers of the different types of drinking water are relatively close.

The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. and, increasingly, global grant makers and their grants – a robust, accessible knowledge bank for the sector. It also operates research, education, and training programs designed to advance knowledge of philanthropy at every level. Thousands of people visit the Center's web site each day and are served in its five regional library/learning centers and its network of more than 450 funding information centers located in public libraries, community foundations, and educational institutions nationwide and around the world (foundation center). • 9. Ph Levels Lab Report Essay The relatively close pH levels of Tap Water, Spring Water, Flavored Water, and Seltzer Water. Introduction This experiment was performed to investigate the following hypothesis: The following four different types of drinking water (spring water, seltzer water, tap water, and flavored water) we test will relatively have the same pH level. Our group decided to test different types of drinking water to see if a pH level of tap water is comparable to other types of water. Many people believe that city water has many chemicals, causing us to form the expirement to see how close the different types of drinking water's pH levels are. Materials and Methods For the first part of our exiperiment we used the Red Cabbage Indicator. Red...show more content... We then moved the electrode in one of the beakers of water we wanted to test. We measured the pH level, recorded it, then placed it back into the clean water it was orignally in. We repeated these steps for each of the different type of drinking water. The control treatment in our expirement was thr red cabbage indicator. The dependent variable is the pH of the water. The independent variable is the different types of drinking water ( tap water, spring water, seltzer water, and flavored water). The standard variables in the expirement are the clean test tubes, the clean pipettes, the Paraflim, the pH tester, and the pH levels pH 2, pH 4, pH 6, pH 7, pH 8, pH 10, and pH 12. Results Table 1 shows the standard of the standard of the expirement. It is used to compare the color of the red cabbage expirement to form an educated guess on the pH level of the different types of water. Table 2 shows the pH numbers we got from the red cabbage expirement and from the pH tester. This informations enables to compare the red cabbage and the pH tester numbers in order to prove the red cabbages accuaracy, and to prove our hypothesis that all of the pH numbers of the different types of drinking water are relatively close.
