The first step of building a buyer persona is the most vital
because if you don’t do your research, you won’t be able to
pin-point your customer. By conducting qualitative and
quantitative research, a company can learn who is already
buying from them. Furthermore, they can dig into their social
analytics to gather what their customers like and who they
are interacting with. It is important to look both at
quantitative data which highlights the demographics, but it is
also vital to analyze qualitative data as the “how” and “why”
are equally important. Hence, the best decision is to marry
the both types of research to build the ultimate product
persona which will lead an organization to have a competitive
advantage.
