HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• Human resources management is a management function concerned with
hiring, motivating and maintaining people in a organization. It focuses on
people in organizations.
• Human resource management is designing management systems to ensure
that human talent is used effectively and efficiently to accomplish
organizational goals.
OBJECTIVES OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
• To provide organization with well-trained and well-motivated employees
• To increase the employees satisfaction and self-actualization
• To develop and maintain the quality of work life
• To communicate HR policies to all employees.
• To help maintain ethical polices and behavior.
• Helping to establish and maintain a harmonious employer/employee
relationship
• Helping to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Developing programs to meet the economic, psychological, and social needs
of the employees and helping the organization to retain the productive
employees
MANPOWER PLANNING

HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING
• Manpower Planning which is also called as Human Resource Planning consists of
putting right number of people, right kind of people at the right place, right time,
doing the right things for which they are suited for the achievement of goals of the
organization.
• Human Resource Planning has got an important place in the arena of Industrialization.
• Human Resource Planning has to be a systems approach and is carried out in a set
procedure.
Developing employment programs:
Recruitment, selection procedures and
placement plans.
Making future manpower forecasts:
Once the factors affecting the future manpower forecasts
are known, planning can be done for the future
manpower requirements in several work units.
Analysing the current manpower inventory:
(1) Types of organization (2) No. & quantity of such departments
(3)Employees in these work unit.
Design training
programs
improve upon the
skills,capabilities,
knowledge of the
workers.

• Helps to reach goals
• Utilization of human resource
• Development of human resource
• Maintain high morale among employees
• Matching individuals goal as per organization’s goal
Sources of recruitment
• According to Edwin B. Flippo, “recruitment is the process of searching
candidates fro employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs un the
organizations”
• There are two types of source,
1. Internal Sources
2. External Sources
• It would be desirable to utilize the internal sources before going outside to attract
the candidates.
• There are two categories of internal sources,
First one is review of the present employees and second one is the
nomination of candidates by employees.
• For promotion and transfer, organizations are adopting to have an internal source
that has the ability to solve problem.
Internal Sources
• Transfers is Based On efficiency of employees.
• Promotion And Demotion is Based on performance of employees.
• The dependents and relatives deceased or disabled employees are also
recruited by many companies.
• External sources of recruitment have to be solicited from outside the organization and
it involves lot of time and money. The external sources of recruitment includes -
1. Employment at factory gate
2. Advertisements
3. Employment exchanges
4. Employment agencies
5. Educational institutional
6. Labor contractors
External Resources
• Employment at factory level – this a sources of external recruitment in which the
applications for vacancies a presented in bulletin boards outside the factory or at the
gate
• Labor contractors- this are the specialist people who supply manpower to the factory
or the manufacturing plants
• Advertisement – it is an external source which got an important place in requirements
procedure. Medium used news paper and television.
• Employment exchanges- there are certain employment exchanges which are run by
government. Now-a- days requirement government agencies has been compulsory
through employment exchange.
• Employment agencies- public and private employment agencies play a vital role in
making available suitable employees for different positions in the organizations.
• Educational institutional- there are certain institutions which serves as an external
source for required fresh graduates from these institutes.

Conclusion:
From this presentation we concluded that human resources management system can help
both employer and employee in order to do their job. It can help organization going
smoothly using technology. Organization can improve their management system from
traditional approach to a modern approach.

  • 3. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT • Human resources management is a management function concerned with hiring, motivating and maintaining people in a organization. It focuses on people in organizations. • Human resource management is designing management systems to ensure that human talent is used effectively and efficiently to accomplish organizational goals.

OBJECTIVES OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT • To provide organization with well-trained and well-motivated employees • To increase the employees satisfaction and self-actualization • To develop and maintain the quality of work life • To communicate HR policies to all employees. • To help maintain ethical polices and behavior.

MANPOWER PLANNING OR HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING • Manpower Planning which is also called as Human Resource Planning consists of putting right number of people, right kind of people at the right place, right time, doing the right things for which they are suited for the achievement of goals of the organization. • Human Resource Planning has got an important place in the arena of Industrialization. • Human Resource Planning has to be a systems approach and is carried out in a set procedure.

Making future manpower forecasts: Once the factors affecting the future manpower forecasts are known, planning can be done for the future manpower requirements in several work units. Analysing the current manpower inventory: (1) Types of organization (2) No. & quantity of such departments (3)Employees in these work unit. Design training programs improve upon the skills,capabilities, knowledge of the workers. The procedure is as follows:

  • 9. Sources of recruitment • According to Edwin B. Flippo, “recruitment is the process of searching candidates fro employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs un the organizations” • There are two types of source, 1. Internal Sources 2. External Sources
  • 10. • It would be desirable to utilize the internal sources before going outside to attract the candidates. • There are two categories of internal sources, First one is review of the present employees and second one is the nomination of candidates by employees. • For promotion and transfer, organizations are adopting to have an internal source that has the ability to solve problem. Internal Sources
  • 11. • Transfers is Based On efficiency of employees. • Promotion And Demotion is Based on performance of employees. • The dependents and relatives deceased or disabled employees are also recruited by many companies.

  • 13. • Employment at factory level – this a sources of external recruitment in which the applications for vacancies a presented in bulletin boards outside the factory or at the gate • Labor contractors- this are the specialist people who supply manpower to the factory or the manufacturing plants • Advertisement – it is an external source which got an important place in requirements procedure. Medium used news paper and television.

Now-a- days requirement government agencies has been compulsory through employment exchange. • Employment agencies- public and private employment agencies play a vital role in making available suitable employees for different positions in the organizations. • Educational institutional- there are certain institutions which serves as an external source for required fresh graduates from these institutes.

Develop recruitment plan: date of interview, time, venue of interview etc… Medical Examination a physical exam for candidates Review applicants and develop short list: Go through the list of candidates and make it as per requirement. Conduct interviews: Arrange interview for the selected candidate as per the recruitment plan. Select candidate: Select the right candidate as per our requirement Finalize recruitment: after selecting the entire rights candidate and finalize them with package and other facilities.
