Summary: I am a conscientious and adaptable person. I work well within a group and on
my own, I can work to deadlines and always put 100% into all work that I do.
I have 6 years of experience in retail. And have recently undertaken some tasks
which can be considered management based, such as processing claims.
I have outstanding customer service skills which are complimented on a regular
basis by both customers and regional management.
I have a Masters’ Degree in International Banking, Finance and Risk
Management and have attained a pass.
My dissertation for my Masters’ Degree was based on Corporate Governance,
being an investigation into whether failures in corporate governance and/or the
agent-principal relationship contributed to the 2007-09 financial crisis which
involved case studies of Northern Rock and Lehman Brothers.
I am qualified in Sage Line 50 Accounts Levels 1 to 3.
I have a little experience of working within an accountancy environment,
however, I am a quick learner and adapt well into a new and fast paced
environment, to which I can be moulded into the required work ethic.
Work Experience:
Thornton’s Plc., 21 Southgate, East Kilbride town Centre, East Kilbride May

Involves: stock rotation, date checking, serving customers and using the till.
I completed my senior sales training in June 2012, this involves: completing the
cash book, cashing up at the beginning and end of the day and checking off
debits and credits against each other.
I have been colleague of the month 9 times and am the first in my store to
receive colleague of the year due to my excellent customer service skills and
hard work ethic.
I was awarded a certificate for outstanding customer service in the East Kilbride
Town Centre mystery shopper excellence.
I was sent a letter of thanks and recognition by the retail director of Thorntons
for my customer service, in which a letter was sent to the Head Office detailing
the excellent service the customer experienced on their recent visit.
GM Facilities Ltd t/a GM Contracts September 2013-April 2014
Accounts assistant, this was a 6 month contract which involved processing
invoices coming in and going out of the company.
Checking debits and credits against the bank statements.
I drew up the invoices using both Microsoft office and sage and produced neat
and legible information.
