Recruiter/Mentor Coordinator, (2012 to 2015)
Recruit, screen, and train 500+ student and 500+ mentors bi-annually. Travel the state recruiting and training.
Conduct conferences, large tours bi-weekly, VIP tours and presentations, and handle press and media
relations, Work with website, social media, and marketing/material needs. Oversee and manage largest
fundraiser bi-annually. Coordinating with politicians to open new programs in CA. Training new employees.
Staff Sergeant/Recruiting, Mentoring and Placement Assistant, (2003 to 2005 & 2006 to 2012)
Evaluate approximately 200 applications before selecting 60 cadets and mentors with a graduating range of
50-55 cadets and mentors bi-annually. Monitor two graduating classes of cadets and mentors for a year after
graduation and placement and forward monthly reports to Congress. Secure placement for cadets in
employment, housing, and/or educational needs before graduation and throughout year in a half mandated
referral process. Weekly instruction with cadets is conducted addressing and resolving mentor, school, work,
emotional issues and effective communication classes. Conduct weekly team meetings with platoon staff to
resolve cadet issues. Teach onsite mentor training classes for mentors statewide.

Assisted in leading Academy efforts in earning the best program status out of 30 Challenge Youth
programs in the United States, 2006
Staff Sergeant/Placement Coordinator, (2005 to 2006)
Instrumental in redesigning the RPM department and established a Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
Coordinated efforts of educational and military staff during weekly meetings to establish best possible
opportunities for each graduating cadet and their placement needs. Spoke at conferences and assisted
