Reading Buddy (The Elicite Idea )

SRP Teacher Name: Mrs Sabiha
By: Sikander Ali Rajput __SRPEMP_84_TLA
SRP is working to boost up competencies in teaching
and learning as well as initiated awareness on reading
importance in early grades meanwhile, to run a reading
buddy program is a mendatory task of teaching learning
associates at school, with fully help and support from
Head teacher who is bridge between SRP and School
staff.
Here at the said school I tried that tool, inquire, got data
of grade 5 & 4 to envolve them improving the reading
skills of their younger fellows (slow readers).
It is initial start to discuss the possiblities to promote
reading culture and help and support other fellows.
Reading buddy program will be held at this school on
sixth day and my second visit to said school but the
model activity was held and found absolutely helpful
and cooperation of head teacher and students observed.
As I personaly found , Actually it is a fruitful idea by SRP experties and it is more
suitable and fruitful where we face the multigrades at same class room/space because
more then one grade readers already seated beside.
So I planned and
practised at said
school because
there are few
reasons to
implement
reading buddy
program, as it is
multigraded school, one teacher school and particularly GGPS, it will be very effective
and result oriented when reading buddies help other fellows in reading levelled readers
and gaming with game cards developed by SRP teacher with no cost material and even
read togather from a black board.
These ideas drag the teacher and students to envolve in improving reading skills of
slow readers, sensitize all participants to feel a team work and in result acheivement of
improved readers.
