This presentation is all about Nas (Nuseir Yassin). Nas has it's facebook page NAS DAILY, where he daily upload one minute long videos. He will post the videos till his 1000th day. He is my favorite vloger.
2. • NUSEIR YASSIN better known by NAS DAILY is an Israeli-Palestinian Harvard
graduate who quit his job to travel the world with a self-commitment of making
daily one minute videos on Facebook under his page “NAS DAILY”.
3. • Nas (which means “people” in Arabic)
was born on February 9, 1992 in the
town of Arraba in Lower Galilee, Israel
grew up learning Arabic and Hebrew
and was raised as a Muslim.
• At the age of 19 he applied in Harvard
seeking a degree in aerospace
engineering and got a scholarship.
• He graduated with a degree in
Economics in 2014 and started working
as software developer in New York for
Venmo a mobile payment service
owned by PayPal where he was getting
the salary of more than $100,000 per
year.
• NUSEIR was tired of his routine, and felt
he should travel the world rather than
wasting time at his desk job .
4. • Nas spent a year and half saving up
$60,000. In 2016, he quit his job, bought a
camera, a plane ticket, and committed
himself to traveling the world full-time.
He pledged to make a single video every
day for 1,000 days.
• The first country he visited was Kenya. A
Russia owned media company operated in
Nairobi saw his early videos and offered
to pay him to create content for their
Facebook page. The company paid him
$3000 a month for his services which
helped him travelling comfortably.
• No one looked at his first 150 videos.
Nobody cared when he visited Israel back
on day 200, either. It was his video of
cheap treats in Thailand (day 270) that
eventually won 25 million views and
netted him 250,000 followers and he
became a Facebook celebrity.
5. • Nuseir Yassin with his family in
Arraba in Israel where he was
born and raised. Nuseir has a
crew of three people including
his girlfriend Alyne Tamir, a video
maker from United States and
Agon Hare, a video blogger and
musician from Poland.
• His videos are shot using a DSLR
camera with an attached
microphone and a drone, edited
during the night, and then released
the next morning. Each video takes
an average of about six hours to
shoot and three hours to edit.
6. • Yassin videos are one minute long (mostly)
because viewers are very busy to watch
long videos and he posts his videos on
Facebook instead of YouTube, where he
could be earning more money, because
“his friends don't go on YouTube". He also
stated that interactions are more personal
on Facebook, where user accounts are tied
to actual people as opposed to YouTube.
• The one minute format of his videos sets
him apart from other vloggers.
• He ends his videos with the tagline: "That’s
one minute, see you tomorrow!”, which
makes us curious for his next video.
Why I follow NAS DAILY
and why you all should.
7. • Nuseir posts videos that
celebrate the good in
humanity.
• He make videos about
himself, his travel diaries
and about something which
is unknown to the world.
• He was born in a non-
English country yet he use
English language in his
vlogs.
• He wears the t-shirt which
spell out what percentage of
your life is already over.
• He delivers important
information daily in 1 minute
or more depending upon
the content.
8. • Nas has created a business of his
personal mantra of self-fulfillment. He
sells themed T-shirts that spell out what
percentage of your life is already over.
Nas consults for businesses and people
looking to produce multimedia content.
He earns revenue from Facebook ads
embedded in his videos.
• His videos are different from other
vloggers because of his filming style and
the quality of content he use in
storytelling. This helped him in getting
millions of followers on Facebook. More
than 8 million people follow him on
Facebook (including 17 my Facebook
friends).
• He will make videos till his 1000 day and
currently he had made 891 videos.
