2. WHAT IS GREEN HOUSE??
• A Green House is a house with protection
boundaries which allows only sunlight and no
other outside environmental factor to enter.
• A Green house has basically one purpose,
that is to provide and maintain a growing
environment that will result in optimum crop
production at maximum yield.
3. WHAT IS GREENHOUSE TECHNOLOGY?
• Green House technology provides a controlled
and favorable environment for crop to grow
and yield high in all the seasons.
• Saves crop from cold in winters, from heat in
summers and from rain in monsoon seasons.
• Environments can be suitably modified as per
the requirements of the crop.
4. HISTORY OF GREENHOUSE
• The idea of growing plants in environmentally
controlled areas has existed
since Roman times.
• The French botanist Charles Lucien
Bonaparte is often credited with building the
first practical modern greenhouse in Leiden,
Holland, during the 1800s to grow medicinal
tropical plants.
6. WHY GREENHOUSE YIELDS MORE?
• U.V. film does not allow harmful U.V. rays to enter
the green house thus protecting the crop.
• Inside environment remains under control .
• Carbon dioxide released by the plants released in
night is consumed by plants itself in the morning.
Thus the plants get about 8-10% times more food
than the open field condition .
• Inside temperature is raised because of green house
effect. Long wave (IR) radiations are absorbed and
retained for longer time inside the Greenhouse.
7. COMPONENTS IN GREENHOUSE
Green House components can be broadly
divided into 3 main categories.
• Structural Design.
• Green House Covering.
• Environmental Controls.
8. ADVANTAGES OF GREENHOUSE
• Manipulation of Growing season.
• Round the year production of most desired crop.
• Higher production per unit area is obtained.
• Higher value and higher quality crops can be grown.
• Efficient use of Irrigation Water.
• Infestation of pests and diseases is eliminated.
• Nursery for all vegetable crops can be grown.
• Drastic reduction in wastage of Fertilizers and Pesticides
11. .
• Basically Greenhouse automation concept
arises from the concept of automation .
• How we can put and apply various techiniques
to easily control and manage the various
processes of Greenhouse Technology.
• Thus, as the name suggests Greenhouse
Automation states that controlling and
managing the various processes via
automation for better look and cost cutting.
12. BUT HOW THE GREENHOUSE
AUTOMATION CONCEPT IS POSSIBLE??
13. It is possible by using various sensors
that you have already used in past or
you are already using or you are going
to use in near future.
Its quite easy , only thing is that you
have to remember it.
Because you know everything.
Believe me!!!!
20. IS THAT POSSIBLE???
CAN WE MAKE SUCH A GREENHOUSE
WITH FULL OF INTERESTING DAILY
USED TECHNOLOGIES????
21. ADVANTAGES AND DIS-
ADVANTAGES
There can be a huge number of dis-advantages
like installation cost n many more but if we will be
able to get into this we will be able to save a lot
of time as well as money after that.
22. CONCLUSION
For sure involving automation in
Green house, which involves
cultivation of crops throughout the
year in a well establised condition is
going to change the method of
farming as well as the planting
system. In short this concept is going
to revolutionarize the entire
cultivation system.
