3. • On 7 April 2023 ̶ World Health Day ̶ the World Health Organization will observe its
75th anniversary. Every year on 7th April, World Health Day is observed by World Health
Organization (WHO) and other health related organizations across the globe.
• The aim of World Health Day is to promote awareness among the people towards the importance
of good health. When first good health assembly was conducted in 1948, it was decided that 7
April of each year will be observed as World Health Day .

• A Proposal was put forward by Brazil
and China for creation of an
organization to tackle with health
related issues all over the world. The
proposal presented in 1945 stated this
body should be totally independent
from any government powers and
focusses equally on health related
issues of whole world.
• In 1946, establishment of WHO was
approved in New York and the
organization finally came into
existence on 7th April,1948, with 61
countries signing the agreement for
the inception of the NGO.

The main aim behind
observing this special day is
to create awareness among
people about the value of
good health.
Not only physical ,but taking
care of mental and emotional
health of a person is equally
important and to
draw people's attention
towards complete well-being.

Hanuman Jayanti holds an immense
importance in Hindu religion.
This day is dedicated to Lord Hanuman
and large number of Lord Hanuman
devotees celebrate the birth
anniversary of Maruti Nandan
Hanuman Jayanti is going to be
celebrated on Purnima Tithi of Shukla
Paksha in the month of Chaitra. This is
also known as Hanuman Janmotsav
which is celebrated on 6th April,2023 .

The devotees visit temples and apply
tilak of sindhūr to their foreheads from
the Hanuman’s body as this
is considered to be good luck. They
sing Hanuman Chalisa and many
sacred hymns.

This festival is celebrated
in India with great
grandeur and people offer
prayers to Lord Hanuman
in different ways.
Devotees observe fast on
this day to commemorate
the birth anniversary of
Lord Hanuman.
9. V I R T U E S O F
L O R D H A N U M A N
• He was a great devotee of Lord Ram. He is the living embodiment
of Ram-Nam.
• Lord Hanuman was Knowledgeable.
• He had the Spirit of selfless service. He served Sri Ram with pure
love and devotion, without expecting any fruit in return. He lived to
serve Sri Ram. He had no desires.
• He never boasted of his bravery and intelligence. He was an ideal
selfless worker, a true Karma Yogi who worked desirelessly and
dynamically.
• He was humble, brave and wise. He possessed all the divine
virtues. He did what others could not do such as crossing the
ocean simply by uttering Ram-Nam, burning the city of Lanka, and
bringing the Sanjeevani herb and restoring Lakshman to life again.
