On December 10 every year, people around the world celebrate Human Rights Day. The date was
chosen to honour the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Universal Declaration of

Right to Food
The right to food is recognised in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 25) as part
of the right to an adequate standard of living, and is enshrined in the 1966 International Covenant on
Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (Article 11).
