4. The theory of Multiple Intelligence was
developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner,
Professor of Education at Harvard University.
According to him the Traditional Notion of
Intelligence, based on I.Q. Testing, is far too
limited.
Gardner Challenged the Notion of General
Intelligence, and put questions on Intelligence Tests
i.e. how an Individual’s Intellectual Capacities could
be captured in a Single Measure Of Intelligence

Cognitive Competence can be better described as a
Set Of An Individuals Multiple Abilities, Talents
And Mental Skills related to a Multiple Number
of Domains of Knowledge in a Particular Cultural
Setting.
