4. Cultural tourism is the subset
of tourism concerned with a
country or region’s culture,
specifically the lifestyle of
people in those geographical
areas, the history of those
people, their art,
architecture, religion(s) and
other elements that helped
shaped their life.
5. IN
RICHARDS (1996)
suggests two
definitions of
cultural tourism
TECHNICAL- all movements of persons to specific
cultural attractions such as museums, heritage
sites, artistic performances and festivals outside
their normal place of residence.
CONCEPTUAL- the movement of person to
cultural manifestations away from their
normal place of residence, with the intention
to gather new information and experiences to
satisfy their cultural needs.

The facilities provided by these
hotels are so much attractive to
the tourist that they do no
desire to go out.

ambulance, doctor, police,
post office, electricity and
telephone.

flight at Star City, part of the Yuri
Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre,
35 km (22miles) from Moscow. Guests
can in a modified plane, which rises to
6000 m (19685 ft) before a further
steep ascent allows passengers to
float weightlessly around the plane.
It’s not cheap, but then, this isn’t your
average tourist activity.
