PROJECT –HEALTH OF THE POPULATION OF PEOPLE IN JODHPUR
AND PROBLEM THEY FACES

I am Kishan Singh Shekhawat from Jodhpur City. Where I live there is industrial area near by
where factories of steel , iron and bricks are situated. Population of Jodhpur city is around 90000.
There all facilities are available like public transport , hospitals ,chemists shops, adventure island
, gym, parks and much more. Health of the population is not bad. Children have good health
physique and IQ level is also good.
Most of the problems are faced by the workers. People working in factories work in high
temperature and got injured if they don’t work with accuracy. Due to high temperature workers
get fainted and have to rush to the near by hospital. When I was at hospital some workers came
with 2 workers that came with trauma to the eye and one with the fracture with the hand , the
workers said it was due to the mistake of the driver driving the machine that lift the rods of the
iron alloy. Fracture was treated there but the patient with eye trauma had to transfer to the
another hospital 5km away from that hospital.
The patient was unconscious and had transferred to the other hospital and treatment started in
emergency. He had lost his one eye due to severe damage of the eyeball and orbit.
If in factory there were the required equipments such as glasses to save the eyes from heat and
prevent the iron particles to enter the eye the eye could saved. There must be suits provided to
the worker so that the skin also be prevented from burning.

2. The local people who are living in the apartments far from the factories also complained about
the smoke coming from the factories. Factories should extend their chimneys much above the
height present
Other facilities are goo in our area. The people are educated and when they got ill don’t take
medicines without consulting a doctor as they know they are near the factories and they could
have a major problem if the symptoms are latent. Chemists are also much efficient in their work
that they don’t give the most of the medicines without prescription as they know the younger
generation are using the cough syrups and other medicines as a drug abuse.
People are educated but still there are some people who can’t understand their children in what
type of company they are. Around 10% of children got addicted to drugs and some of them have
gone to prison too. People and police need to understand that they are not the actual culprit and
had to arrest the people eho are selling these products.
Government should do concerts and programmes to educate the worker, children and people
about the side affects of using the unpriscribed drugs and how to prevent ourselves within the
factory and outside the factory.
