6. CONCEPT OF PCPIR :-
• It would be mainly investment region covering minimum area of 250 sq.
km planned for manufacturing facilities of petroleum and its poduct for
domestic and export purposes.
• In this area minimum 40% of area will be reserved for manufacturing
area and other will be used for residential, commercial and other social
and institutional infrastructure.
• The PCPIR may include one or more Special Economic Zones, Industrial
Parks, Free Trade & Warehousing Zones, Export Oriented Units, or
Growth Centers, duly notified under the relevant Central or state
legislation or policy.

7. OBJECTIVES OF PCPIR :-
• Scopes for development in petroleum and petrochemical
production.
• To increase the economic growth towards the country.
• To promote the investment in this sector and make the country an
important hub for domestic and international markets.

8. ROLE OF GOVERNMENT :-
• GOI will ensure the availability of external physical infrastructure and
linkages to rail, road, ports, airport and telecommunication services.
• Promotion of PCPIR.
• Government should ensure there is power connectivity 24*7.
• Provision of water supply and its distribution.
• Provision of proper Health infrastructure in the premises 24*7.
