Established in 1991, in the heart of the Middle East, Cairo – Egypt, Heliopolis Business Center
(HBC) specializes in media monitoring, written and simultaneous translation for legal and
technical material. Commercial registration no. 322610/ Cairo. HBC hereby pledges to strictly

In HBC, we pride ourselves of over twenty years of experience with numerous international
organizations including UN, JICA, Unicef, UNODC, EU projects, Anna Lindh Foundation
among many other esteemed entities.
Our long list of translation projects competed includes the following:
o UNODC, United Nations Convention against Corruption, the task covered translating the
agreements concluded with many countries, self-assessment checklists, supporting
materials, comments submitted by reviewing State parties, legal documents used as part of
the Implementation review mechanism for the United Nations Convention against
corruption. Work load: about 42,200 words, translated from and into Spanish /French
/English /Arabic. Duration: five months, 2009-2010. The Egyptian Revolution erupting
during job completion did not affect the timely delivery of our quality work.
o Anna Lindh Foundation, Translation and proofreading of the Anna Lindh Report 2010
(462,000 words), Anna Lindh Report 2011 (462,000 words) and reports companion (60,000
words). Every text had to be translated into two languages, to ensure producing an Arabic,
English and French reports, thus multiplying the produced translation volume by two. Upon
delivery of the first batch of translations, the Foundation expanded the scope of the contract
to include almost all the translation work required by the different departments. Contract

In a collective effort to successfully complete your project while abiding by your requirements
and deadlines, HBC Translation Project Managers serve as a bridge between you and our team,
providing you with immediate assistance as well as make certain that your project runs
smoothly.
Quality Assurance:
Quality assurance is not just a step at the end of a project; it is an intrinsic part of the whole
process. Starting with the selection of the translators; most apt to perform the required task.
Your project is only handled by a native / almost native speaker and specialist in the domain.
The terminology and glossary database developed from previous jobs and always updated
ensures text consistency and style conformity.
We go through two levels of quality assurance:
Level 1: During this level, our quality assurance team carefully reviews and edits the
translation. They have to go through a check list, use track change for the changes they
make and finally have to fill out a report form. Editing is performed at 3000 word
intervals.
The track change version of the edited file is sent to the translator to review and decide
over the changes. The translator has to return the final file with a completed report form.
Level 2: During this level, our editors go through the file for a second time ensuring the file is
final in every aspect and then deliver the final product to the project manager in charge.
Accreditation; Quality Guarantee
HBC is authenticated by the USA, UK, Canadian, Spanish, French, and Australian
embassies, as well as all governmental entities as a certified translation office. We
authenticate our translation by signing and stamping every page with our officially
recognized seal and accredited CEO signature.

Confidentiality
Whether there is a signed confidentiality agreement or not, we safeguard each client's work
confidentiality. In line with confidentiality concerns, PDF protocols may be utilized.
In legal documents, relevant parties (or any other requested information) will be deleted to
boost security level. First class international courier delivery services will be assigned to
deliver your printed translations, if required.
We follow HBC Code of ethics and professional duty; cooperating with professional
colleagues; translators/interpreters safeguards HBC's smooth completion of each task as we
are bound by the "The Professional Standards for Interpreting set by The Association of
International Conference Interpreters". This code protects our commitment to
confidentiality, professional standard, and completion of each task upon contracting.
