1. Client Diary 2
I was able to finish the filming of my project this week and it was a lot shorter than I expected; I was able to film my opening
transition, my stealth kill action scene and my boss fight action scene. The opening scene seemed to prove the most problematic
because I had to constantly switch camera people and try different camera shots to have a proper moving transition into the
scene but I eventually got the perfect transition, the stealth kill was easier to film despite having to speed up the process of
filming because my acters were uncomfortable in cold weather and that the scene with them having to dress like bandits filmed
in an open drive way, but in the end I got to bring my vision of stealth killing to life with proper camera angels and pacing. The
boss fight action scene was the easiest to film because I knew exactly what I was filming, the attacks my dad did as the boss took
several reshoots because they weren’t good enough and the plastic head which was used as a decapitation was difficult because
it kept on falling off and the axe I used for beheading broke, but because this last scene was more organised I got the footage I
wanted in a short space of time.
The filming went well for the most part, I got the scenes I wanted filmed in short amounts of time but there were many retakes
and prop failures because my artistic vision was a bit to ambitious. I could improve these problems by having lower expectations
and having less or no action scenes or just make them more simpler. I’m going to be editing the last parts of my project on Adobe
Premiere this week and hopefully finish it this week but I’ll only probably be able to get the majority of the work done this week.
