Historical Background โ From Judah, sent to
pronounce judgment against Israel during a time

looking good โ but judgment is coming.

โข God is longsuffering โ But He is also Holy.
God is โ patient, loving, kind, good, gentle
God is also โ pure, holy, righteous
Habakkuk 1:13a You are of purer eyes than to
behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness.
While God is patient; His patience is not eternal.
There will come an end to the patience.
He will judge the wicked and punish them.

โข God is no respecter of persons
Amos 3:2-3 2 "You only have I known of all the
families of the earth; Therefore I will punish
you for all your iniquities." 3 Can two walk
together, unless they are agreed?
God will judge the lost.
He will chasten His own people.
Every person will stand before God.

2 Chronicles 19:7 Now therefore, let the fear of
the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for
there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no
partiality, nor taking of bribes."
Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.
James 2:1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with
partiality

Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth and
said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no
partiality.
1 Peter 1:17 And if you call on the Father, who
without partiality judges according to each one's
work, conduct yourselves throughout the time
of your stay here in fear;

Amos 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O

Most think this verse says โ get ready to face
God on judgment day.
Most will say โ Prepare, get ready, judgement is
coming โ Are you ready to face God?

Amos 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O

leader.
You do not need a masters degree in Bible to
teach the lost.
