WHY IMPERIAL DUCTWORK?
The success of the business has been built up on our ability to deliver, on time, no matter what constraints or
difficulties any particular project may encounter. This is best demonstrated by the continued repeat business
we secure from our client base. This work ethic can be directly attributed to the desire of the Directors to
constantly improve the business and the expertise and experience of our staff, who always go over and above
what is expected of them. The business adopts a non-adversarial approach across all of our projects and
encourage our staff to embrace a team ethic on each and every project we are contracted to.

Turnover
STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL POSITION
Imperial Ductwork have been trading for 19 years. During this time the business has seen steady growth from
a standing start to the current position today of circa £20M. The composition of this turnover is secured from
a variety of clients, all of whom we have and continue to trade with since the company was founded in July
1997.
Our business model is to embrace each and every type and size of contract, be it as little as £0.5k or anything
up to circa £6M. We believe no job is too big or too small. We also pride ourselves on the fact the commitment
to delivery on the smaller contracts remains constant with the service provided for the larger projects. Our
people understand and deliver what our clients expect and what we as a business demand.
The below graph details the company turnover since the year 2011, to date.
Figure 2 – IDSL Historical Turnover 2011 to Date
IMPERIAL DUCTWORK IN 2015
Our aim is to work closely with our client base, supporting their efforts in the tendering process. Our financial
year 2015/2016 presented us with a turnover of £18.5m, maintaining the steady growth of the business to
date. The expectation is that achieving our target is likely, given the Construction Industry is buoyant;
however, we are also mindful of the impending labour shortage the active marketplace is creating. To this end
we are proactively communicating with our client base the need to ring-fence labour by securing our services
with early order placements.

Products & Services
WHAT WE DO
Our core business is the manufacture and installation of ductwork for the ventilation and/or air conditioning
systems within the Construction Industry. We have extensive experience working on many different types of
contracts, namely:
• Shell & Core Works
• CAT A Fit-Outs
• CAT B Fit-Outs
• Re-Fresh/Re-Stack
• Service/Maintenance Contracts
FULL AIRSIDE CAPABILITY
In addition to the traditional ductwork sub-contract works we undertake, we also offer a Full Airside delivery.
This is essentially a turnkey package of the air systems, which sees Imperial Ductwork interfacing front end
and assisting with the design and coordination activities during the Pre-Construction Period.
Moving into the Construction Phase of the project, our role involves procurement of the airside plant and
equipment, full system installation of the same, including first fix/second fix activities. Insulation of the
installed works, full airside commissioning, setting to work and demonstration/training of the ventilation
and/or air conditioning systems to the client/end user.
This type of contract has become more prevalent of late, given the shortage of experienced construction
operatives as well as the benefit that comes with having the Ductwork Specialist working directly and
alongside the Professional/Design Team and associated M&E trades.
OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED
As well as the traditional ductwork services provided, we can also offer the following, as part of a live
and/or existing contract or, indeed, in isolation as a service in its own right:
• Validations to Existing Systems
• Dilapidation Reports of Existing Systems
• Supply Only Items
• CAD/Draughting Services
• Design Reviews
• Smoke System Fire Strategy Development and/or Reviews

Quality, Health, Safety, the Environment & Imperial
QUALITY
Quality is a key deliverable within our business and one that we continually strive to improve year on year.
We periodically review what we do and how we can improve it. We look to the industry for innovative new
products that can enhance our delivery as well as embracing the latest computer software to compliment and
streamline the process.
Having gained ISO 9001 accreditation in 2009, we ensure compliance within the business through regular
audits undertaken by the Quality Management Team. The QM Team, made up of experienced individuals from
key sectors within the business, regularly attend sites to audit compliance with our quality procedures, as
well as ensuring set constructional standards are applied to the end product.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Health & Safety is at the heart of everything we do as a business. The nature of the industry in which we
operate demands that we continually strive to improve the practices and procedures that form part of our
daily operations. Our commitment to this is best demonstrated by the following:
• ISO 18001 Accredited
• 5 Staff Trained to NEBOSH General/Construction Standard, Including 2 Board Members
• External Audits by SHE Management (OHS Consultancy)
• In-House Dedicated Training Centre
• RoSPA Silver Awards 2009 – 2012 Inclusive
• RoSPA Gold Awards 2013, 2014 & 2015
• Project Managers Trained to SMSTS Level
• Supervisors Trained to SSSTS Level
• Director Safety Tours/Audits
• Site Operatives 100% CSCS accredited
• Operative Training in PASMA, IPAF, WAH, Asbestos Awareness & Safety Harness Training
• FORS Compliant
THE ENVIRONMENT
As part of our commitment to the environment and our ISO14001 accreditation, we are looking at ways we
can contribute to the reduction of the carbon emissions generated by the building services installations in
newly completed buildings with which we have been involved. We started this process back in 2009 with the
introduction of the SAFE Spiral System on a contract at Canary Wharf. Such has been the success of this that
we have now implemented its use wholesale throughout all contracts secured. The SAFE System incorporates
a double gasket on all fittings. The introduction of the gasket within the design ensures a tight seal is achieved,
which in turn vastly improves the integrity of the installed system and hence greatly reduces the air leakage.

facilities, geographically positioned to enable us to meet the demands of our client base in the region. All of
this is supported by the Imperial Board of Directors and a strong leadership team backed up by experienced
