developed itself as a pioneer manufacturers of the high-end industrial air blowers,
i.e. Twin Lob Rotary Air Blowers sector in India. Over the years the company has
expended its technology base, bringing in a range of Twin Lob Rotary Blowers as
desired by various customers applications. The company is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Inherent facilities of the company include in-house design, production,
manufacturing, quality control, inspection and after sales service. Other than
manufacturing of Air Blowers, Gas Blowers, Root Blowers we also manufacture
Mechanical Vacuum Boosters and Acoustic Hoods & Enclosures for blowers.

We are indebted Late Sri D. Jha, our Founder for the group of our
companies, but for whose foresight and industrious approach we would not have been
there to serve you today. An avid and proficient mechanical engineer by profession,
he gave us direction and set our core values to deliver the best to our customers.
He rightly identified the customers’ need and opportunity for manufacturing Rotary
Twin Lobe Blowers and laid the foundation of this company. His focused approach led

4. Rotary Air Blowers are widely using in Application demanding medium pressure and
relatively large flow rates. Some of the areas of applications of our blowers can be
summerised as under:-
(a) Water Treatment Plants - For backwashing of filter beds.
(b) ETP/STP (Effluent/Sewage Treatment Plants) - For diffused aeration
and agitation of effluent.
(c) Electroplating Plants - For oil free air agitation of electrolyte to
maintain uniform density.
(d) Bio-gas Boosting – For transferring of Bio-gas from gas-holder to
boiler.
(e) Pneumatic Conveying – For vacuum, pressure and combination conveying
of cereals, cement, husk, baggage, granules, powders and other similar
material.
(f) Cement Plants - For blending, Aeration, Fluidization, and conveying.
(g) Aquaculture - For maintaining the dissolved oxygen level.
(h) Steel Plants, Sugar Plants and Sponge Iron plants also use our blowers
for their specific process applications.

Manufacturing Facilities.
Beta Maschinenfabrik is an engineering manufacturing firm and works on the
basic principal of incessant improvement in manufacturing and quality standards for
all our blowers to meet laid down quality standards. Our R&D team is constantly at it.
Our manufacturing plant at Noida, Phase II is fully equipped with modern production
facility like CNC-HMC, CNC-VMC, CNC-Turning Centre, CNC-Lathe, Horizontal
Boring Machine with DRO, Vertical Milling Machine with DRO, Dynamic Balancing
Machine and other 56 machines with to fulfill our manufacturing obligations. We also
have the completely established testing facilities as per BS 1571 part-II to test our
blowers, before they are delivered to our clients. We are known for suitable blowers
for heavy/continuous duties.

Principle of Operation.
ßeta Rotary Twin Lobe Roots Blowers is a positive displacement, constant volume
machine which operates against varying pressure. The Two “8” shaped impellers
which are mounted on parallel shafts, rotate in opposite direction and with every
revolution of the impeller across the compressor inlet, a definite volume of air is
trapped and carried across the casing to the compressor outlet where this air is
discharged. With a constant speed operation, the displaced volume is essentially the
same at a constant pressure, temperature or barometric pressure. Increasing the
7. speed of the Beta compressor against a constant pressure increases the volume of
air delivery. The helical timing gears fitted in a Beta blower control the relative
position of the impellers to one another and maintain small but definite clearances.
This allows operation without the need for lubrication inside the air casing.
Design Features / User Benefits.
The compact and sturdy design is engineered for regular service to operate in
accordance with designed speed and pressure ratings. Each Beta blower has specific
impeller profiles and is machined to precision on the latest CNC machines assuring
tolerances within precise limits. Same manufacturing process is followed for blower
casing, gears and side covers. Our design team has incorporated several design
features to enhance their Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and thus reliability.
Thus, Beta Blowers are preferred choice of the clients due following main features:-

(a) Stronger Shafts. A strong shaft avoids the breakage / twisting
problems. Our blowers are equipped with stronger shafts. Size of shaft
diameter is minimum 0.35 times of the centre distance, which gives more
strength of the shaft leading to more power transmission. In-case of other
blowers, it is hardly 0.20 times of the centre distance, which at times results
in breakage/ twisting of the shaft.
(b) Benefits of Less Diameter/ Centre Distance Ratio of the Rotary
Lobes. Ratio of overall diameter of the rotary lobes/impellers to the
centre distance is less in Beta Blowers which results in lesser momentum,
lesser frictional horse power losses and lesser load on the bearings.
(c) Both Sides Oil Lubrication. Beta Blowers are specially meant for
high operating speed and effective power saving, which requires both-side oil
lubrication. Thus, all the Beta Blowers have large oil sumps on both (i.e. Drive
and Non-Drive) ends. This leads to very high limiting speed of all the Beta
Blowers compared to other blowers. In other blowers, generally one side is
lubricated with oil while other side has grease lubrication leading to high
temperature and less bearings life.
8. (d) Less Vibration Effects on the Bearings. In almost all models of
blowers, most of the breakdowns take place due higher vibrations of rotating
parts leading to direct impact on bearings and its failures. We have studied
the specific problem in detail and our design team has modified the legs in the
casing itself and more importantly it has been located away from the line of
bearing. This design modification has resulted in reducing the direct impact of
vibration on bearings, resulting in less breakdowns and longer life of the
bearings.
(e) Suitable for Heavy/Continuous Duties. Thickness of casting is
more in Beta Blowers compared to other available brands in market. More
thickness allows our Blowers for continuous operation /heavy duties without
any defect making it more reliable compared to others.
(f) Exclusive Left Hand Drive Blowers. Another common defect of
damage in gears due to jerks/impact have been observed in past. Post defect
analysis by our design team, we have made our Blowers as left hand drive, to
obviate possible effects of the jerk/impact. This ensures significantly less
breakdowns of our blowers.
(g) Higher Flow Capacity with Energy Saving Due to Helical Timing
Gears. Beta Blowers are equipped with Helical Timing Gears for lesser
load on bearings, reduce the noise level and make the blowers most suitable
for running at higher speeds i.e. up to 4000 RPM leading to higher saving in
energy. In other blowers with similar specifications, maximum RPM at which
they operate is 1200 RPM due to usages of spur gear. This also has an impact
on the flow capacity of blowers, eventually leading to higher flow and lesser
energy requirements as compared to other blowers.
(h) Power of Angular Contact Bearings. Beta Blowers are fitted with
angular contact ball-bearings at the non-drive end. This has been done to
absorb the Axial thrust of the blowers. They also eliminate the chances of
shifting of the lobes/rotors to either side, thereby reducing the chances of
breakdowns to a great extent.
9. (j) Less Noise Level. For a better work environment, Noise level of Beta
Blowers have been observed to be lesser as compared from other brands of
similar specifications.
(k) Special Arrangement to Change the Oil Seals. Oil Seals of any
rotating machinery need to be changed after certain interval due to it’s life
based on quality of rubber used and normal wear and tear. Location of oil seal
in the machinery play important role in time and effort their required for
renewal and to avoid dismantling of blowers for seal change. These seals are
placed just below the end pulley on the side plate in all our blowers. This minor
design change has been saving significant time and effort to our customers
during their periodical maintenance.
(l) Oil Seal Wear Liner Sleeve on Shaft. There is a hard and ground
replaceable metallic sleeve provided on the shafts of all the Beta Blowers
which eliminates the possibility of normal wear and tear of the shaft due to
their exploitation and lower maintenance cost even after longer exploitation.
Quality.
Our quality policy says, “We are committed to produce excellent quality
products as per national and international quality standards to provide safe &
reliable operation of all our blowers to meet customers’ requirements” and we
abide by it in letter and spirit. We place the highest level of importance to the
aspect of quality. Our quality inspection process starts right from the initial stage
of procuring raw materials and ends only when the final products have been safely
delivered to our customers. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified company and maintain
the said standards. We have over fifty instruments/tools to check and ensure
designated quality standards, which are periodically calibrated with master
calibrators/by certified agencies.
Achievements. We consider two of the biggest blower manufactured and
supplied by our ßeta plant are of 6,600 m³/hour with a discharge pressure of 0.7
Kg/Cm²(Model no. 26.18) supplied to Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and 11,000 m³/hour
10. with a discharge pressure of 0.74 Kg/Cm²(Model no. 27.22) supplied to M/s
Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd., Maharastra, as our achievement towards
manufacturing high capacity blowers to meet ever-growing customers’ demands..
