17. This is the most important activity of the Society,
involving more than 2000 students and 200 teachers.
–Timing. The competition is organized every year by
our schools.
–Levels. It is focused to students:
•3rd cycle of Primary school. 10-12 years.
•Lower secondary. 12-14 years.
•Intermediate secondary. 14-16 years.
–Stages. There are three stages of competition:
•County.
•Provincial.
•Regional.
18. •The main feature of this activity is
to work maths, but not less
important is to be playful. It is not
only an individual competition but
an enjoyable and collaborative
activity, which enforces our
students’ ability to share
knowledge with their mates.
19. In the regional stage, the students
spend the weekend doing maths from
Saturday morning up to Sunday
morning. They stay with the teachers
and monitors doing several activities.
The last time we met was in May, at the
School of Gastronomy in Castellón.
30. That is a speed test. The new groups
must solve a chain of questions, having
only four minutes for each one and
changing everybody at the same time to
the next activity.
