Internship program is a pre-service training designed to
render practical experience of a given job. In other words

internship. Standard method taken for applying
knowledge or information is meant ‘internship’. Formal
knowledge increases eagerness to know anything and
actual application enables an individual to realize the
effectiveness and limitations. An effective internship
provide interns with the opportunities to develop an
understanding of the career area duties and
responsibilities, terminology, climate, protocol, and other
information that will enable interns to analyze and revise
their meaningful future plans. Internship program has

importance in changing the field of theoretical learning
into practical experience.

hands dirty and actually doing work, students experience
the value and impact of giving to people and learn to be
productive members of society. It also provides an
opportunity to the students to integrate technology for
solution of the societal problems.

of problems of the people and their diversified

About Project
The project "Help to Poor People" on NGO (Rado Nepal)
is a focused and compassionate initiative aimed at
addressing the challenges faced by individuals and
communities living in poverty. Its primary objectives are
to alleviate immediate suffering, empower vulnerable
populations, and foster sustainable improvements in
their quality of life. By providing essential resources,
skills, and support, the project strives to break the cycle
of poverty and promote equitable opportunities for
those in need. Through a combination of targeted
interventions, advocacy, and collaboration with local
stakeholders, the project seeks to create positive and
lasting impacts on the lives of impoverished individuals,
enabling them to lead more dignified, resilient, and
hopeful futures.
The project "Help to Poor People" plays a crucial role in
addressing poverty due to its multifaceted approach and
its potential to create meaningful and sustainable
change.
12. Here are several key reasons highlighting the project's
importance in addressing poverty:
Immediate Relief:
Poverty often leads to dire living conditions, lack of basic
necessities, and limited access to healthcare and
education. This project provides essential resources such
as food, clean water, shelter, and medical assistance to
meet urgent needs, offering immediate relief to those
most affected by poverty.
Empowerment:
Beyond short-term relief, the project empowers poor
individuals and communities by providing them with
education, vocational training, and skill development
opportunities. By enhancing their capabilities, the project
equips them to generate income, secure employment,
and improve their overall livelihoods.
Breaking the Cycle:
13. Poverty can be a generational cycle, where limited
access to education and resources gets passed down
through families. The project intervenes to disrupt this
cycle by offering educational programs and support for
children and youth, providing them with a chance for a
better future.
Health and Well-being:
Poverty often leads to inadequate healthcare and
sanitation, contributing to poor health outcomes. The
project addresses these issues by providing healthcare
services, hygiene education, and access to clean water
and sanitation facilities, thereby improving overall health
and well-being.
Dignity and Social Inclusion:
Poverty can lead to social exclusion and marginalization.
By providing support, the project helps restore dignity to
individuals and communities, enabling them to actively
participate in society and access opportunities that were
previously unavailable to them.
14. Advocacy and Awareness:
The project raises awareness about the challenges faced
by poor communities, advocating for their rights and
needs at local, regional, and national levels. This
advocacy can lead to policy changes and increased
resources directed toward poverty alleviation.
Community Development:
Poverty affects not only individuals but also entire
communities. The project fosters community
development by promoting social cohesion, encouraging
collaboration among community members, and
supporting initiatives that enhance local infrastructure
and services.
At last, the project "Help to Poor People" is of paramount
importance in addressing poverty because it combines
immediate relief with long-term empowerment, thereby
creating a pathway for individuals and communities to
break free from the cycle of poverty and achieve a better
quality of life.
15. The project “Help To Poor Peoples” on NGO (RADO
NEPAL) is huge. So, Ngo has decided to divide many
groups according to maturity level.
I was the member of the group “Sakti” in which I completed my
internship in two weeks.
Over the course of 2 weeks internship, our project was divided
into two main phases.
Phases one:
Before starting donation program, we interacted with many
villagers and peoples who have low source of income. We
collected information about their income source, household
cost, children education cost, etc. We also collected data on
quality of education of children.
16. Phase two:
After collecting data and information from survey, Rado
Nepal (NGO) decided to held meeting where we plan to
donate things which are necessary for them to upgrade
their livelihood and have quality of life. We also observed
that due to lack of knowledge and education, they are
facing difficulty to maintain good quality of life. So, Ngo
decided to conduct awareness program to acknowledge
them. Ngo prepared three groups to carry out the
project. Each group have different objectives. Objective
of first group is to prepare the goods and materials
(books, copy, food, money, etc.) for donation program.
And objective of second group is distribute supply and
goods to poor and needy people. And third group is
assigned for awareness program to educate villagers.
17. My Contribution And
involvement
During my internship at Rado Nepal, I had the privilege of
being part of the impactful "Help to Poor People"
project, which aims to alleviate poverty and improve the
lives of underserved communities. My role as an intern
allowed me to actively contribute to various aspects of
the project, gaining invaluable experiences and insights
along the way.
Engagement in Needs Assessment and Planning:
Early in the internship, I was involved in conducting
needs assessments within the target communities. This
included engaging with community members through
interviews and surveys to understand their challenges,
aspirations, and priorities. Working closely with the
project team, I participated in data collection and
analysis, which played a vital role in shaping the project's
strategies and interventions.
18. Development of Educational Initiatives:
One of my primary responsibilities was assisting in the
development of educational initiatives for the
beneficiaries. I collaborated with senior project
coordinators to design and implement workshops on
topics such as financial literacy, health and hygiene, and
vocational skills. I helped create informative materials
and interactive sessions that were tailored to the specific
needs and cultural context of the communities.
Active Participation in Community Outreach:
During field visits, I actively engaged with community
members, fostering relationships built on trust and
understanding. I had the opportunity to organize and
participate in community awareness campaigns, where I
interacted with individuals, shared information about the
project's goals, and encouraged their active involvement.
Contribution to Monitoring and Evaluation:
As the project progressed, I was involved in the
monitoring and evaluation process. I assisted in tracking
project milestones, collecting data on outcomes, and
19. documenting success stories. This data-driven approach
provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of the
interventions and contributed to evidence-based
decision-making.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
Throughout my internship, I collaborated with a diverse
team of professionals who shared a common dedication
to the project's objectives. I actively participated in team
meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops, where
I contributed fresh perspectives and ideas. In turn, I
gained a deeper understanding of project management,
community engagement, and effective communication
strategies.
Learning and Growth:
My involvement in the “Help to Poor People” project has
been a transformative experience. It has deepened my
empathy for marginalized communities and
strengthened my commitment to social development. I
have honed essential skills in project planning,
community engagement, and data analysis, which I
20. believe will serve as valuable assets in my future
endeavors.
In conclusion, my internship with Rado Nepal and my
involvement in the “Help to Poor People” project has
allowed me to contribute meaningfully to poverty
alleviation efforts. I am grateful for the opportunity to be
part of a team dedicated to making a positive impact on
the lives of those in need.
