2. Events for UTD
Events for UTD is a real-time database and
navigation system to direct students to events
hosted on or affiliated with UTD.
The main goals of Events for UTD is to:
● provide a user-friendly platform containing a
comprehensive list of UTD events
● connect freshmen and other college students to
campus events
● increase campus engagement
● allow the freshmen to explore the opportunities
in UTD and connect with groups and activities
based on their preferences
4. Capabilities
● Events for UTD will automatically create an event
as soon as it’s posted onto Comet Calendars
● Each event will have a profile which will show the
event details, links to social media platforms, and it
will also allow the use to leave reviews .
● Students can list their preferences so that they can
get notified about events they would be interested
in
● Events for Utd will provide students with real time
navigation to each event on campus
● User’s can submit their own events onto the
platform
