2. About ITK
The “Illam Thedi Kalvi” Scheme has been the India’s
first and single largest psot- pandemic educational
outreach programme.
The TN government has taken a massive survey
among 50 lakh students beneficiaries of the “Illam
Thedi Kalvi” to know the outcome of their learning.
It was launched in October 2021
It also help those children who dropped out of school
during the covid-19 pandemic.
3. Objectives
It provide the doorstep learning in order to
compensate for the losses of class during the
pandemic.
The TN state government aims for the enrolment
of 1 lakh students with the government schools.
More than 1.81 lakh volunteer has been involved
in this scheme with the core objective of bridging
the learning gaps of students from classes 1-8
due to lack of access.
4. Learning Outcomes
District wise the learning outcome report of this
scheme will be collected.
The compiled result which shows the exact
assessment percentage of the children.
Based on the report, amendments would be
made in the syllabus of the scheme, so that the
children can actively participate in the classes.
