The One Direction music video for "Perfect" was influenced by including a range of shots showing off the scenery of New York City through different camera techniques. These included panning and tilting shots to showcase the height of buildings, as well as long shots and time lapses to establish the location and passage of time. Positioning the sun behind the artists was also considered an important visual feature for the shots.

2. Although the genre of music is not what we are wanting to
follow, the idea of having a range of shots of New York was
very much an influence behind what we were wanting to
create for our music video. Having a range of shots that show
the location by panning and tilting to show the height of the
buildings to give the audience a hands of experience.

3. Having typical New York long
shots shows the scenery and
also where about it is. Either
time lapses or long duration
shots that show the change in
weather or time.

4. Having the sun shine
behind the artist, is a
popular feature and
creates a different position
of the shot.
