KIPP San Francisco College
Prep serves 9-12 graders and
sets clearly defined and
measurable high expectations
for academic excellence and
conduct in order to create a
culture of achievement and
support.
The Young Women’s
Leadership School of
Brooklyn exists to create a
community of confident and
compassionate young women
and to successfully prepare
them for college and other
post secondary experiences.
Waverly High School serves
9-12 grade students in
Lansing, MI providing
rigorous academic
curriculum to prepare
students for their future
college and careers.

Meet the Participants
Volunteers and students who
participated identified as Male,
Female, Non-binary, African
American, Hispanic / Latinx,
Caucasian, and Multi-Racial.
Volunteers held entry level to
executive leadership roles and the
students were in grades 9th – 11th.
Business Case Challenge
Through SuitUp, volunteers from Salesforce HQ and students from KIPP SF, TYWLS, and
Waverly HS participated in a SuitUp business competition in which they created a new
and innovative feature for Zoom that enhances remote learning. Volunteers coached
students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize.

Salesforce HQ SuitUp Competition Inspires Students

  • 1. SuitUp with Salesforce HQ 05.18.2021 Opening Doors and Reimagining Pathways for Students Everywhere…
  • 2. students served volunteers engaged 16 14 About Salesforce Salesforce is the world’s #1 CRM platform. They support 50,000 customers in every industry imaginable, banking, government, health care, retail, education and nonprofits in running their businesses more effectively. Their core values are Trust, Customer Success, Innovation and Equality. About KIPP SF, TYWLS Brooklyn and Waverly High School KIPP San Francisco College Prep serves 9-12 graders and sets clearly defined and measurable high expectations for academic excellence and conduct in order to create a culture of achievement and support. The Young Women’s Leadership School of Brooklyn exists to create a community of confident and compassionate young women and to successfully prepare them for college and other post secondary experiences. Waverly High School serves 9-12 grade students in Lansing, MI providing rigorous academic curriculum to prepare students for their future college and careers.
  • 3. ` Meet the Participants Volunteers and students who participated identified as Male, Female, Non-binary, African American, Hispanic / Latinx, Caucasian, and Multi-Racial. Volunteers held entry level to executive leadership roles and the students were in grades 9th – 11th.

Business Case Challenge Through SuitUp, volunteers from Salesforce HQ and students from KIPP SF, TYWLS, and Waverly HS participated in a SuitUp business competition in which they created a new and innovative feature for Zoom that enhances remote learning. Volunteers coached students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize. Winning Team: Team 2: Zoom Ultra Team 1: Game-Themed Zooms Team 2: Zoom Ultra Team 3: Zoom+ SuitUp to the Challenge

Competitions Make a Difference… BEFORE SUITUP... 100% of students felt confident they could obtain the skills they needed for a future career 87% of students felt what they learn in the classroom will help them in a future career 100% of volunteers believe volunteering is an important value at their company 90% of volunteers felt they knew how to encourage more young people to follow a specific career path and industry 100% of students NOW see themselves having a career using the skills they learned at SuitUp 100% of students feel more confident in school and preparing for a career after working with SuitUp and their coaches 100% of volunteers believe their company made a positive impact through SuitUp 92% of volunteers see SuitUp as a way to encourage more students to join their industry or company AFTER SUITUP...

Salesforce HQ Impact SuitUp asked students if Salesforce HQ’s SuitUp competition made an impact on what they want to study when they go to college. 92% of students said the volunteers helped them come to this conclusion. What fields/career paths are our students interested in after working with the Salesforce HQ team?   • 8. Same time next week? 100% of volunteers are interested in doing a SuitUp competition again 92% of students liked their SuitUp competition and coaches 100% of students would like to participate in SuitUp again
