LESSON PLAN
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This is the continuation of our
sociocultural project on the importance of
taking care of our environment.
• Previously we worked on the types of pollution
and different ways to avoid it.
We work on this project one session each
week with small groups of students of
this grade but of different classes.
CONTENT LEARNING:
 Identify problems and
solutions in everyday life.
 Respect the environment.
 Know “The 3 R’s rule” and
putting them into practice.
 Know the roles of people in
world changes, recovery
and conservation of the
natural environment.
LANGUAGE LEARNING:

 Talk: dialogues and
interviews.
 Obtain information through
conversations.
 Learn new vocabulary about
recycle, reuse and reduce.

the lyrics, they sing and learn
the song.

Write “The 3 R’s” on the
board and explain them that
it’s an important way to take
care the planet (remember
the song). The students try to
discover what each “R” is.
Then, write “Reduce, Reuse
and Recycle” on the board.

Divide the students in little
groups and ask what we can
do each one in their normal
life to get it and make a list.

Finally, each group show their
ideas to the other groups,
they write the best ones on
the board and talk about the
importance of putting into
practice these ideas in their
life.

The students make three posters, one
for each “R” and write on it each list
that they did in the last class and then
put the posters on the hallway mural.Session 3

  • 15.  In this unit, I work as a guide that helps students find the answers to the questions we propose for themselves.  I only give them the resources they need to obtain it on their own.  The assessment is continuous and students also self- assess. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
