EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION SURVEY
Sandeep Chanana
WHY : AN ENGAGEMENT SCORE
Research by Glassdoor in 2015 ( https://press-content.glassdoor.com/app/uploads/sites/2/2015/10/ECS-
Q32015-Supplement.pdf) reported that 54% of employees are confident that if they quit or lost their current job,
they would be able to find a comparable position within six months. This trend indicates that, If you don’t give
employees a compelling reason to stay, they’ll find another job that does.
When competition for top talent is fierce, and the cost of training new hires is steep, Companies can’t afford not
to engage employees. Especially considering the benefits of innovation, higher profits, and the sheer enjoyment
of standing at the helm of a fully engaged workforce.
https://apac.aonhewitt.com/home/about/media-room/press-releases/march-2017
DEFINITIONS
Engaged: Employees are highly involved in and enthusiastic about their work and workplace. They are
psychological “owners,” drive performance and innovation, and move the organization forward.
Not engaged: Employees are psychologically unattached to their work and company. Because their
engagement needs are not being fully met, they’re putting time — but not energy or passion — into their
work.
Actively disengaged: Employees aren’t just unhappy at work — they are resentful that their needs aren’t
being met and are acting out their unhappiness. Every day, these workers potentially undermine what their
engaged coworkers accomplish.
Thispresentation has adetailed library of questions that can be included in an Employee EngagementSurvey
Thesequestions include acombination of demographic fixed-choice questions, statements on apoint agreement scale
(1,2,3,4,5) with1beingthelowestand5beingthehighest,and openquestions
Thekeydriver statements are the only mandatory questions – allother statements are optional and dependent on your
requirements
New questions or statements canbe added to suit the nature of your organisation and workforce structure
