2. WHY DOES IT RESONATE FOR YOU?
. For me, this topic is a very personal topic because I come from a third world country
and in my country Ethiopia there have been one of the world biggest epidemics
HUNGER in the past there where drought and the country could not support their
citizens in the part of the county where there was drought leading to HUNGER. Even
though that now there are measures that are taken for that to never to happen again
there are some risks.
3. HOW CAN YOUR INTEREST BE
APPLIED LOCALLY?
• when I was back home in Ethiopia we did a research on a way we can stop POVERTY
AND HUNGER and it was not to take aid from other countries. When we asked
people and ask them if more aid is needed to stop POVERTY AND HUNGER. They
told us a different story, it was that because of the aid people who had business
around the area have closed and employees of those businesses have lost their
Jobs. In a word what they said is that there was no demand in the area due to aid,
making the business lose customers and this gave way to POVERTY, making people
more dependent on aid than creating new jobs to make people stand for their selfs.
so stopping aid and helping create more jobs is the way out of POVERTY.
4. WHERE CAN YOU MAKE THE
GREATEST CONTRIBUTION?
• So countries like Ethiopia is a very good place to make this kind of contribution
because the country has a growing population about 94.1 million and most of who
are 29 years and younger. So if more contribution was done there it has a big
potential to change the country and it people.
5. IS THERE A FEATURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
THAT CAN BE UNIQUELY APPLIED TO
THIS GOAL?
• In a country like Ethiopia, most people see it as a country that is poor and not a
good place to live or invest in. This mindset solution is social media if people see
the other side good and the potential of the country it will show the world, not like
a poor country but a place where there are big opportunities for business and
tourism. this will give the country a chance to work with other developed countries
and also give young people the opportunities to make a better life for their selfs
and for the country.
