● Becoming a member: Must be active in the creation of visual effects or professional activities
are closely related in the field of VFX. Must have at least 5 years of experience within the past
10 years before applying for membership. Must also submit a letter of rec. from a current
member. Applicants must prove their skills.

The Directors Guild of America founded in 1936 is a organization and guild where creative and economic rights of
director members and the directorial team are represented in film, Television, and Radio in the United States.

● To be a member of the DGA you have to meet the qualifications and be approved. DGA does and not provide
applications for membership.

The Film Collaborative is a first non -profit, who commits to full -service educational and networking, for
filmmakers that make independent, narrative, and documentary films.

GDC is the world’s largest professional game industry event that has about 28,000 attendees, they are
there to share ideas and also help shape the future of games with five days of education, inspiration, and
networking. GDC started off as a gathering of 25 developers in someone’s living room back in April of 1988
and they were mainly focus on computer games only, but as games grew their focus of what makes a game
also grew. Into consoles, mobiles, tablets online and also into VR and AR games.

Artstation is the best platform for animators, illustrators, film media and entertainment artist to
showcase their work and manage multiple portfolios in a professional way. Artstation is also a great place to find new
inspired and also find connection and opportunities within the industry.

Center for New Music San Francisco, Inc. was founded in 2012 and it’s a not-for-profit corporation, which been approved by
the Internal Revenue Service. The Center (CNM) mission is to give artists professional resources and expertise which provides
artists with opportunities by sharing knowledge and new ideas. The Center provides great resources and that includes, space
to work, rehearsal, and perform, access to a like minded community, and access to media resources. These services support
individual artists but also help people grow on a professional level.
