Salomon has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry completing numerous projects for
public works entities and school districts throughout the Los Angeles area, including LAUSD. Salomon
is responsible for the efforts and success of Amoroso’s field personnel as well as the field personnel of
the subcontractors and suppliers. He has expertise in general management, administration, estimating,
operations and safety, and coordinates all aspects of site procedures and systems. As a Superintendent,
Salomon is ultimately responsible for supervising all trades in addition to directing and coordinating all
aspects of project work.

a new 64,000 SF synthetic turf field play space. The project also includes a curb-side, student drop off
area, an upgraded existing driveway located north of classroom building, constructing a new retaining
wall located north of classroom building, removal of the existing concrete ramps & to construct new
ADA compliant concrete ramps, construct a new trash enclosure with trash compactor and construct
a new 6” shotcrete wall located northwest of auditorium building.

Salomon was responsible for overseeing this phased project at the Port of Los Angeles which consists
of eight separate structures, and approximately 47 acres of backlands improvements. His precise
coordination skills lend well in the environment of a fully operational site. With multiple other construc-
tion projects being completed concurrently, as well as non-construction related traffic for the Port,
communication is critical amongst all team members, subcontractors and Port of Los Angeles repre-
sentatives.
LAUSD ADA Modified Consent Decree – Groups A and B, Los Angeles, CA

Salomon assisted in ensuring successful completion of this project for LAUSD, which included adapta-
tions of 14,000 ADA defects on forty-two individual school sites. His ability to effectively coordinate the
team through this complex multi-campus program helped to facilitate a seamless transition without
disrupting classes or endangering students. Walt made certain this intensive nine month project
closed out the ADA deficiencies within the multiple campuses, allowing LAUSD to comply with the
requirements set forth in the Modified Consent Decree.

Salomon was responsible for managing this project from start to finish. The project consisted of a
significant addition to the existing campus and remodeling of several areas within the existing campus
structures. The new structures included a 9,000 SF Multipurpose Building and a 57,000 SF, two-story
steel framed Classroom building over a concrete parking level. The existing Library, Multipurpose
Room and Kitchen were remodeled to accommodate the increased student population.
California Veterans Home, Los Angeles, CA

This project was located on a 19 acre site in West Los Angeles, within the VA facility complex, just
north of Wilshire Blvd. Salomon managed the team that successfully completed this project which
included a steel frame building on spread footings with precast concrete exterior. The 363,515 square
foot, four-story building contains a skilled nursing house for Veterans. Offering a total of 396 beds, this
facility includes 312 beds for skilled nursing, of which, 60 beds are for Dementia/Alzheimer specific,
and 84 beds are for resident care. Located in the center of each building is the dining area for the
residents to gather as a community. This project was completed within both schedule and budget.
Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Area Police Station, Los Angeles, CA

November 2005 – May, 2008
Construction Value: $30.2 million
This energy efficient, modern police station was a new addition to the Los Angeles Police Depart-
ment, and resides in a densly urban area three blocks from downtown Los Angeles. Salomon oversaw
construction on Rampart Station, which combined a two-story, 54,000 square foot police facility with
an 8,000 square foot masonry block auto maintenance building. Located adjacent to the police station,
and attached via a pedestrian walkway, sits a four-story, pre-cast parking structure totaling 100,000
square feet.
LAUSD Southeast High School, Southgate, CA

January, 2003 – October, 2005
Construction Value: $31.6 million
Salomon oversaw construction of this new 262,000 square foot high school, which consists of four
classroom buildings, a classroom/auditorium/administration building, gymnasium building, three mis-
cellaneous buildings and all exterior athletic fields sitting on a 26.6 acre site. Southeast High School
and Southeast Middle School No. 3 were constructed on the same site at the same time. As such, Mr.
Garcia operated at the Superintendent on both projects consecutively.
