ABSTRACT
The concept of pneumatic conveying is very old but now a days its
importance is increasing. This project gives the basic knowledge of the
pneumatic conveying. This project report deals with various kinds of
pneumatic conveyor.
It also gives the answer to the question of why to use the pneumatic
conveyor instead of the other conveyors. Here the broad classification of
material handling equipments is explained and different types of the
conveyors are described in details with their figures.
We have given a detailed description and explanation of the parts
used for the pneumatic conveyor. The list of the particles that can be
conveyed is attached and the carrying velocities of some of the particles
are included. This will help to know that at what height the material will be
carried.
This report shows the detail procedure for the designing of the
pneumatic conveyor and the venturi feeder. It also explains the
experimental method of calculating the various parameters for design.
Overall this report comprehensively collects all the aspects of
Pneumatic Conveying of Solids.
