WHICH SPORT ?  The game originated as a sport in Britain during the 1880s, where it was played among the upper class as an after-dinner parlour game, then commonly known as “wiff-waff’.  During the early 1900s, the game was banned in Russia because the rulers at the time believed that playing the game had an adverse effect on player’s eyesight.  It was introduced as an Olympic sport at the Olympics in 1988.
  • 6. 3. WHAT IS THIS GYMNASTIC MANOUVRE CALLED ?

NAME THE ATHLETE  Which legendary athlete landed himself in controversy when he said,“ All my life I believed I became an athlete through my own determination, but it's impossible to think that being descended from slaves hasn't left an imprint through the generations. Difficult as it was to hear, slavery has benefited descendants like me -- I believe there is a superior athletic gene in us”.  He has won four Olympic gold medals and eight World Championship gold medals and is generally considered one of the greatest and most consistent sprinters in the history of track and field.
  • 8. 5. WHICH PHRASE ?  The late Spanish broadcaster Andres Montes is generally credited with coining the phrase during his television commentary for the 2006 Football World Cup. Montes used the phrase to describe precise, elegant passing of the ball.  The playing style involves roaming movement and positional interchange among midfielders, moving the ball in intricate patterns, and sharp, one- or two- touch passing. It has been described as a “nonsensical phrase that has come to mean short passing, patience and possession above all else.”

In 1998 though, the president of the US Olympic Association presented them with two plaques. “in lieu of the gold medals they didn’t win”.  Why did they didn't participate in their respective events ?

WHAT DOES THE TERM STAND FOR ?  Trampolining is a recreational activity, acrobatic training tool as well as a competitive Olympic sport in which athletes perform acrobatics while bouncing on a trampoline. In competition, these can include simple jumps in the straight, pike, tuck, full flip, or straddle position to more complex combinations of forward or backward somersaults and twists.  An athlete is judged on the basis of his/her DD score (degree of difficulty) added to the TOF. From this sum, points are deducted for bad form and horizontal displacement from the center of the bed made by he player to get to the overall score.  What does TOF stand for ?

The list includes details of which players want the same ball with which they have just won a serve, prefer to be given a ball from a particular corner or like to have a towel handed to them after every point  Denmark’s X is another particular difficult player for the BBGs. While most players will receive balls from either side of the court, this one only wants balls from X’s service side, which means those suppliers must always ensure they have enough balls for X.  Who?

Hafþór Júlíus "Thor" Björnsson (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈhafθour ˈjuːliʏs ˈpjœsːɔn]; born November 26, 1988) is an Icelandic professional strongman, actor, and former professional basketball player. At the 2018 Arnold Strongman Competition, Björnsson established his reign with a victory in the deadlifting competition, beating last year’s winner Brian Shaw and Mikhail Shivlyakov from Russia.
