Observations:
• Out of total QIDs, 58% were answered within a minute
of posting
• 15% QIDs were answered within 5 minutes of posting
• Rest 27% QIDs were answered in more than 5 minutes of
posting

4. Observations:
As per the above graph, we can observe that the answer submission pattern is quite similar from 1 am till 5 am but
there is a major dip in answer submission from 4 pm to 8 pm which could be due to low question volume on the Q&A
board in this period.

5. Observations:
As per the above graph, we can easily observe that the Expert answering pattern is following a wave-like structure that has two crests
and two troughs in 24 hrs.
We can observe that the number of answering Experts starts decreasing from 2 am and it becomes lowest at 5 am and then from 6 am
it starts increasing. Similar pattern can be seen in the 2nd half from 4 pm to 8pm.

6. Observations:
From the above graph it can be observed that spammers have a different hour wise answer submission pattern from normal
(please refer to slide no 4 to see the normal pattern), they are submitting most of the answers from 2am to 6am which a time when least
number of Experts are answering on the Q&A board (please refer to slide no 5 to see the normal EAs answering pattern).
Secondly, this observation also provides a very strong correlation that the spammers are utilizing this time period to answer self-
posted questions.
