1. SHORT INTRODUCTION OF THE
AUTHORS OF THIS BOOK
David Phillips is Emeritus Professor of Comparative Education,
and Emeritus Fellow of St Edmund Hall.
British Society for Comparative and International Education Chair (BAICE). In 1990–
91, he served on a German t commission that reported to the German government on
the future of teacher education in the former German Democratic Republic, and in
2003–4, he was a member of a commission appointed by the Minister for Science,
Culture, and the Arts in Baden-Württemberg to evaluate higher education educational
studies.

AUTHORS OF THIS BOOK
Professor Michele Schweisfurth is the Professor of Comparative and
International Education (Educational Leadership & Policy) at university
of Glasgow.
She joined the School as Professor of Comparative and International
Education in January 2013 from the University of Birmingham.

The overall content of the book is very informative and engaging with
lots of references, examples, models and approaches. The purpose of
this book is to provide a foundational overview Comparative Education
level; to explain the essential principles of Comparative and its
development, to describe the processes used to put these principles into
practice, and to offer examples of their practical application in a manner
that exceeds any single Educational system.
23 8. CONCLUSION
However, I am familiar with Comparative education
in international prospect, after reading this book I
realize that it was worth reading. It has enlightened
my mind with different Comparative Process, their
research phases, critical analysis activities and
approaches that I never heard of before. Especially
the students comparison skills and 21st Century
information about the different comparison technique
and approaches are just worth knowing. I can say,
this is a much-needed book for the teachers, faculty
members, administrators, and R&D Experts.

I strongly recommend this book to all educationist, master
trainers, stakeholders, administrators and critical Experts
who are involved with any type of comparative studies to
follow this book in conducting webinar as this book will
help them to overcome all the deficiencies, which they are
faced before or during any country system analysis. As
well as it will also boost their knowledge regarding
conducting of comparative education in 21st Century
Challenges. This book also includes examples and
recommendations for practical application.

  • 5. 5 1. SHORT INTRODUCTION OF THE AUTHORS OF THIS BOOK David Phillips is Emeritus Professor of Comparative Education, and Emeritus Fellow of St Edmund Hall. British Society for Comparative and International Education Chair (BAICE). In 1990– 91, he served on a German t commission that reported to the German government on the future of teacher education in the former German Democratic Republic, and in 2003–4, he was a member of a commission appointed by the Minister for Science, Culture, and the Arts in Baden-Württemberg to evaluate higher education educational studies.

It has enlightened my mind with different Comparative Process, their research phases, critical analysis activities and approaches that I never heard of before. Especially the students comparison skills and 21st Century information about the different comparison technique and approaches are just worth knowing. I can say, this is a much-needed book for the teachers, faculty members, administrators, and R&D Experts.
