Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO)
for
Providing Free of cost Aids and Assistive Devices
2. Partnership between ALIMCO and CSC SPV
ALIMCO has partnered with CSC SPV to utilize all Common Service Centres/VLEs
to create awareness about ALIMCO initiatives and to register Divyangjans &
Senior Citizens for getting free of cost assistive aids and appliances under various
schemes
3. Implementation: Access to all
Stage I: Sensitization and Beneficiary Registration
Step – 1:
• Beneficiaries (Divyangjans/Sr. Citizens)
may visit nearest Common Service Centre
with required documents as per the
Schemes for registration.
• VLEs at CSCs will register the person on
online portal by capturing photograph,
Name, Age, Block/District of residence and
other demographic details, details of the
Aadhar Card, if available, & upload of ID
proof, Valid Disability Certificate & Income
proof
5. Step – 2: Documents Verification Process
• Documents would be reviewed & verified by
ALIMCO rehabilitation experts/ representative to
assure the eligibility of beneficiaries for getting the
aids & appliances as per the scheme.
• In case the documents are found to be acceptable
in terms of the criteria laid down in the scheme, a
SMS will be sent to beneficiary to confirm
successful registration
• Else, regret SMS to the beneficiaries will be sent
with the predefined reasons for unacceptability of
the registration.

9. Observations & Action Taken:
ALIMCO and CSC Teams are continuously working together to resolve the issues.
Following are the observations and expectations on which both teams are working together to make the
whole process smooth:

10. Next Step: Stage II: Pre-Assessment
Preparation of Stage II:
Pre-Assessment
Once sizable number of
applications accepted request
will be made to the concerned
District Magistrate / Collector for
providing date & venue for
clinical assessment of the
registered beneficiaries
The beneficiaries will be
informed about the
assessment camp through
SMS, phone calls, newspaper
adv., VLEs, etc.
11. Conclusion:
• The Stage 1 process is working fine. We had faced some operational and
technical issues, but all major issues have been resolved now.
• CSC IT team is working on observations and expectations to smooth the whole
process.
• We have analysis that Income certificate is the major point of Rejections.
• We have educated the VLEs and CSC district teams so that in future we can
minimize the rejections.
• Edit option is now activated for VLEs to Re-upload the correct documents as per
Rejection remarks.
• Now are moved on Stage II: Pre-Assessment as we have got sizable number of
accepted applications from all 5 districts.
• Basis the pilot CSC proposes to open registrations Pan India.
