Though it’s believed that industrialization in the United States eventually led to a lot of development, some aspects of the American culture were wedged negatively during this time. The great 20th century had its ups, and downs, for example, the rise of Panama Canal from the fall of William Taft’s Standard Oil Firm but the most important thing was how the U.S dominance was portraited in a significant way. The U.S dominated domestically and also internationally, and they were branded the world’s policemen which till date thrives. Displaying total dominance over all other countries. In this paper, I will get to define global events linking the American military to the foreign policy that was created after the civil war. I will also discuss aspects of United States history that has led to the rise of America as a global superpower country and policeman (Borges, 2014, p. 43-46). Other than that, I will also cover international incidents that America has engaged on a policing character since WWII. Finally, the forces driving the global policy decisions concerning the events cited will be comprised. The warfare against ISIS and Libyan Civil Warfare are both dashed back to Humanitarian Assistance. This can be squared back to the 1901 Platt amendment when Cuba resented Americans although it was an independent country. This change was meant to domineer the teller amendment then add to the Cuban constitution giving way for the U.S to intervene the Islas using military personnel. This also applied when revolution threatened. Throughout this period the Americans sympathized with Filipinos, Cubans, Guamanians and Puerto Ricans overlooking the deceit and violence of United States government. Schools, hospitals, and churches were built for the benefits of the helpless people mentioned. The American Humanitarian Assistance is there to protect and alleviate human suffering caused by intentional crisis for example war, natural disasters and terrorism.
To prevent more world wars America had to take responsibility. Cautionary measures had to be considered for this to be possible. The took it upon themselves to execute policies that were meant to prevent nuclear development in the future (Millis, 1981, 56-58). After the Civil War, foreign policy was created. Some of the international events that the U.S military was involved in included the American military went to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. international incidents that America has engaged on a policing
character since WWII. Finally, the forces driving the global

The warfare against ISIS and Libyan Civil Warfare are both
dashed back to Humanitarian Assistance. This can be squared
back to the 1901 Platt amendment when Cuba resented
Americans although it was an independent country. This change
was meant to domineer the teller amendment then add to the
Cuban constitution giving way for the U.S to intervene the Islas
using military personnel. This also applied when revolution
2. threatened. Throughout this period the Americans sympathized
with Filipinos, Cubans, Guamanians and Puerto Ricans
overlooking the deceit and violence of United States
government. Schools, hospitals, and churches were built for the
benefits of the helpless people mentioned. The American
Humanitarian Assistance is there to protect and alleviate human
suffering caused by intentional crisis for example war, natural
disasters and terrorism.
To prevent more world wars America had to take
responsibility. Cautionary measures had to be considered for
this to be possible. The took it upon themselves to execute
policies that were meant to prevent nuclear development in the
future (Millis, 1981, 56-58). After the Civil War, foreign policy
was created. Some of the international events that the U.S
military was involved in included the American military went to
Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. These acts caught the foreign
nations’ attention mostly the U.S which is among the 28
countries that comprise NATO also known as “(North Atlantic
Treaty Organization).” America banned development program of
nuclear weapons. American military took it upon themselves to
prevent the program that allowed development of atomic
weapons in some countries. These countries included North
Korea, China, Belarus, Iran, Syria, Sudan and Venezuela. This
was part of the measures taken to prevent more world wars.
America also adopted the idea of ‘Strategic Defensive
Initiatives.’
America wanted to be branded the world’s policemen.
Due to this pressure, they established some ground rules to be
able to control and manage the production of military equipment
and weapons. Today the U.S has been considered a superpower
nation or policeman thanks to the U.S history from the year
1865 during the civil war. Some of the aspects that led to this
development is that America accepting anti-terrorism policies.
During his speech on terror, Bush changed foreign policy’s
3. direction. In the speech, he stated that to handle every war the
U.S must use and direct its properties and resources with
intelligence and diplomacy means and also enforcement of
required laws. He continued to say that the terror networking
had to be defeated globally. He made a remark that will forever
be remembered which detailed that we need to follow nations
that support and provide aid for terrorism. Religions worldwide
were pressured on their decision to either stand with the U.S or
stand with the terrorists. This solidified their stand in the
attempt to be the police of the world.
Introduction of President George Bush’s missile shield. Later in
September 11th year 2001, the American foreign policy was
changed. After President George Bush assumed power in
January 2001, he launched the foreign policy named missile
shield. It is believed to cover some parts in Europe. This missile
shield was designed to secure intercontinental missiles that
came from Iran.
Assistance from the U.S humanitarians. Their assistance was
mostly subjected to demands from foreign policy. Military
action was required in most cases. Due to Iraq’s military
operations, a lot of fighting humanitarian activities were
leveraged. The intercontinental red cross did not have
protection from National Guard this led to the millions of
helpless people resulting in humanitarian crisis in Iraq. Some
were reported as displaced people and others were said to have
food crisis. Due to the U.S policies in the fight against
terrorism the military found it impossible to help.
(MacKINNON, 1998, p. 23-26).
Since WWII the United States has engaged in a policing
role. Some of the global incidents that have been experienced
since the war include Somalia’s Civil War- the UN
peacekeeping forces joined forces with states military to sustain
peace during Somalia’s civil war. Secondly, War In Vietnam-
The conflict between the north and south communist
government and its central ally U.S between 1954-1975. Lastly,
4. The war in Iraq (2003-2012)- the conflict between the U.S and
its partners and Iraq to abolish Iraq’s growth of mass
destructions and weapons.
The international occurrences discussed in this paper
were fueled by some driving forces that resulted in the global
policy decisions. Some of these driving forces include to
increase power using Libya’s natural resources as well as gain
full control of the country. Decrease illegal trafficking of drugs
and reduce tension among Somalia citizen when their
government practiced dictatorship. Panama Canal agreement
was made to protect trading companies and increase commercial
interest. The Korean war was meant to disperse Russia from the
land that belonged to the Koreans, so the American could take
over and to also fight off Russian military from North Korea so
they could be free. In Lebanon, these actions took place to
decrease religious and as well as political tensions in this
country.
