5. I am going to consider making a print magazine and the genre will be
film. From looking at Empire’s magazine I want to incorporate the idea
of having exclusive features, giveaways and having a dominant image
over the masthead because I think it has a nice effect and makes it eye
catching. Also the enlarged text for well known names is a good feature
I want to use because it can catch the eye of my audience.
6. From looking at Empires double page spread I would like to use the
idea of having a dominant image fill a full page or possibly have sub-
images continue onto the other page to reveal more about the story.
The use of images is definitely something I want to cooperate into my
work because I believe it will help me reach my audience.
7. Print Magazine:
The reason I want to create a print magazine is
because print magazines give a memorable and
leisurely experience to the reader when reading
which digital magazines can supply. Also print
magazines create tactical human experiences where
the reader can read without the attack of
advertisements, unlike digital where advertisements
can pop up on your screen whilst you are reading an
article and distract you. Although digital magazines
are more popular and contact to a bigger target
audiences, print magazines are always accessible
and you don’t need Wi-Fi or data to access your
magazine, also print magazines are physical copies of
your magazine which means you cant loose them
unless you forget where you put it or throw it away
however, you could loose your digital magazine
because if you device that the magazine is on gets
wiped/reset you will loose the magazine that you
have paid for. Overall I have chosen to create a print
magazine because I believe they are more beneficial
for my target audience and much more accessible, it
also allows for there to be free items within the
magazine which can attract more of an audience
because there are free and exclusive items.
8. The Proposal
The content that will be in my magazine is reviews
on movies and recent games that have came out and
will also include updates on actors, films and
anniversary's that are coming up. If I was creating a
real magazine then I would need to consider hiring
technical equipment such as lighting rigs and
cameras because it is more effective to hire
equipment than to buy it because if you buy it it
becomes too expensive and you go over budget. I do
not need to consider this because I am creating a
magazine for educational purposes. For images I
source from the internet and want to use I will need
to gain permission to use from the owners of the
image or I will need to give them credit within the
magazine for the images I have used. However, for
the images I take myself I will need to consider the
location and if it is safe to take images there because
I might need permission to record/take photos in
that area. The equipment I will need to consider
getting is a camera and maybe a lighting rig to help
light my image and make it pop. I will have to make
sure the information and images I use within my
magazine are non-copyright because if I use
someone's else's work and don’t give them credit
then I can be sued and loose a lot of money.

11. The Treatment
The reason I have decided to design my flat plans in this
way is because it is neat and there is not a lot of thing
happening on pages which means my target audience
wont be overwhelmed when they look through the
magazine. I especially like my front cover design because it
allows for there to be a lot of room for the audience to
see the dominant image which is eye catching because of
the high key lighting that is used, also because the classic
costume of Spiderman will be visible and it may attract
more people because he is on the front cover and is
visible. The design on the double page spread has been
thought through a lot because the design is able to give
the reader something interesting to look at no matter
where they are looking on the page. The design is also
quite neat and professional which is better for my target
audience because they don’t want to read too much text
or too little and the design used helps with that because it
allows for there to be a broad variety of images and text
whilst still looking professional. All the images used are
high key lit to show the personality of the magazine and
who ever is in the images, costumes and make-up are
used within some images because it reveals more of a
story within the image which can attract my target
audience. The text that is used is wrote informally to allow
the audience to connect with the magazine and feels as
though they are not reading something from a textbook
but something from their friends or they are listening to
their friends, which can allow the audience to create a
relationship with the magazine.
12. Contributors
For secondary images I use I will have to normally
gain permission from the website I obtained the
images from or give them credit for the images I
decide to use. My model is Philip Bass and Emily
Duggan, I have permission to use their images as
shown below:
Locations:
The images I would shot will take place in college in a
professional studio or outside of college at my house where I
am safe and not at risk of any dangers. I prefer to take
photos in locations I am familiar with to ensure me and my
crew are not at risk of danger.
Equipment:
I need props, costumes, actors, lighting rigs, cameras and
tri-pods. I will need these items to enhance my images
and make them more eye catching for my target audience.
Also it will help make the images pop within the
magazine. The equipment I am going to use will be hired
because it is a lot cheaper to hire equipment for a set
amount of time rather than buying the equipment brand
new.
13. Photography Plan

remembrance page.(secondary image)
= Dates of capturing images.
14. My Pitch
Ladies and gentlemen I am stood here before you today to tell you
about my idea. My idea will hopefully revolutionize magazines for
the better because my idea is to make magazines the new cool
collectables people want. My magazine would consist of:
giveaways, free items, exclusive content, facts and reviews. All of
these are aimed at ages 7 and up because I believe children are
becoming more advanced in technology and this means they
become more interested in games and movie therefore they will
look for ways to find reviews for free and I believe my idea can
help them. Also because of the free items and giveaways my idea
will definitely catch the audience’s attention. However, for the
older majority of my target audience I believe the exclusive
content will intrigue them because it’s information they can only
find in my magazine and nowhere else which can give them the
opportunity to communicate with others who have discovered this
information.
15. Article Double page spread:
“He’s very skillful, he's very qwerty, he’s very talented.”
That’s how college student Philip Bass describes comic-book
phenomenal Spider-Man, and the qualities that he has ben
described as is exactly the reason he is Marvels favorite web
slinging superhero. Philip also goes on to say “he has realy
brought the character to life which excite most fans, most fans
were worried because he is the youngest actor to fulfill the role
however many can agree with me that he brought the loveable
character straight out of the comics onto the big screen”.
Philip went to the set of the new spider-man movie far from
home coming out in 2019 as well as living a life as Tom Holland
and he says it was a fantastic experience and he is extremely
lucky to meet the talentod actor Tom Holland. Philip spent the
day behind the scenes of the new movie and was able to camo
in it as a extra however he is in many scenes disguised as
different people, good lok finding him. He out to try out some
of the stunts himself and learn about the training needed to fill
the role of the web slinging superhero.
Philip discovOred he didn't’t have what it takes to become the
new Spiderman as he collapsed half way through the training
sesion, no worry! Once he awoken himself and Tom Holland
went for ice-cream before going to set. once they arrived on set
Tom would be briefed on a scene and once Tom had acted it out
Philip then followed and I can say the outtakes were quite
funny from Philip trying to swim from a building to him hanging
upside down in peter parkers room.
Furthermore Philip also got the chance to film a scene
using/operating a camera, he learnt the type of filming
techniques such as paning and dolling. Although it has been
confirmed Philip’s recording techniques were good they didn't’t
make the cut, so they are going to be on the bonus reel within
the digital copy of the movie once it is released.

Final Version
17. I believe this image is suitable for my magazine because it is bright
and shows the personality of Spiderman, as a fun popular character.
Because of the pose Spiderman is doing I believe a lot of my target
audience could relate to him which means more people would
purchase my magazine.
game-spider-man-e-anunciada,70002256720
Yet again I believe this image would be good to use within my magazine
because it shows Spiderman's personality again and that is what most
people look for because my target audience will have grown up with
Spiderman and want to see him as he was in the comics.

Images: Secondary
I would consider using this image for my magazine
because it is a good shot of Spiderman and it makes
him look extremely significant however, the image
Is quite dark which isn't that eye catching and may
not attract as much of my target audience.

I believe this image is not
appropriate to use for my
magazine because the low key
lighting wont attract my target
audience however, if the dark
background was changed into a
lighter colour I would consider
using this image because of the
pose Spiderman is in as it makes
him look significant.
I would consider using this
image because is lit very well
and shows Stan lee happy
which is what he was all the
time. The head shot used is
effective and will look good
within my magazine.

19. Transitions
To create this transition between these images I used a tool called
the select and mask which allowed me to remove the background
from behind Stan Lee and insert a new background which I liked
better.
To create this transition I used a tool called select and mask which
allowed me to select the section of the image I could like to keep
and then it removed the material that was not selected. Then I
colored in Spiderman's eyes because they were a little bit see
through using the paint brush tool. Finally I imported a background
image to add the original image too.
