I have a structured and methodical approach towards work and am a fast learner. I work well as
part of a team and equally well on an individual basis. I am in the industry for a career and am
looking for a rotational position that will give me the time at home as well as time at sea. The next
goal is to secure my Y2.

Marine Experience:
September 2014 - Current MY Rising Sun 138m, 2nd Engineer
I joined Rising Sun as a Temp in a yard period and was offered a full time role and have served
since.
1st July 2014 – 23rd July 2014 MY Pegasus VIII 80m, 2nd Engineer
I joined Pegasus as a temporary 2nd for an Atlantic crossing.
April 2013 – May 2014 My Utopia 72m, 2nd Engineer
I joined Utopia in the yard as part of a running ten year survey. As a busy yacht charter and private
duties included, holding an engine room watch underway alternating between myself and the
Chief, carrying out planned maintenance including servicing of all plant and general upkeep of all
systems onboard. As an older boat the planned maintenance system and general operating
procedures have been up and running for the life of the boat which resulted in smooth running and
a very productive department. The added bonus of a lot of miles and the fast pace of the boat made

March 2012 – March 2014 My Step One 55m, 2nd Engineer
I joined Step One in the final stages of the boat being launched. The size of the boat required me
to work on deck and picked up the role of safety officer for the first six months. I had the
opportunity to step up as Chief for a month which added to the experienced gained in sailing a new
boat out of the yard and setting up a Planned Maintenance system, dealing with warranty issues
made this role enjoyable and gave me the confidence to use the Y3 ticket I acquired during my
time served.
Dec 2007- March 2012 My il Vagabondo Again 62m, 3rd Engineer
Vagabondo Again was my introduction into yachting where I obtained my Y4, I was very
fortunate to work under a Chief that took the time to show me the ropes and let me work on
every system the boat had. As part of this role I had to work on deck which included tender
driving for guests, anchoring and general deck duties.
Engineering Experience:
2002-2007 British Armed Forces R.E.M.E (Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineer)
Before serving in the reme as a armoured vehicle mechanic, I had to complete a
nine month modern apprenticeship.
2000-2002 Suffolk college Engineering (motor vehicle studies)
I attended Suffolk college for two years and completed a B tec national diploma in motor vehicle
studies.
