June 2000 – August 2015 My continuous work history with SF/GSF/Transocean is as follows:-
Oct 2012 to Aug 2015 – employed as Master onboard DP semi-submersible Sedco 702,
working for Shell in Bonga field offshore Nigeria.
Sept 2012 – Transferred to Transocean Lagos office and invited to work as Marine Manager.
However due to Company restructuring this promotion was put on hold.
Feb 2011 – June 2012 Worked as OIM on Sedco Energy. Rig operating in Ghana for Tullow
Oil.
Apr 2009 – Jan 2011 Worked as master of DP Semi-sub Sedco Energy in Chevron Agbami
Field, offshore Nigeria
Jan 2009 – Mar 2009. Worked as Jnr DPO on Drillship Jack Ryan to gain experience of
Deepwater Marine operations.
Jan 2005 – Nov 2008. In command, as OIM, of Dada Gorgud, semi-submersible MODU in
Caspian Sea. On takeover of GSF by Transocean this contract was cancelled.
Dec 2003 – Dec 2004. As OIM in full command of operations on GSF Labrador, working for
Petro Canada and Total in the Dutch sector and finally Maersk in the Danish sector, of the
North Sea.
Jan 2001. Promoted to Barge Engineer. Promoted to OIM Sept 2001; at this time the
company became GlobalSantaFe (GSF). The rig continued work with Shell until late 2002,
whereupon a short-term contract with Exxon Mobil was safely fulfilled. On completion of
this contract the rig worked for Amerada Hess for 2 months. In August 2003 the rig was
stacked in Invergordon. I remained on Rig 140 until Dec, working closely with ABS to ensure
the rig gained it’s 5 yearly class survey, without any ????????
Jun 2000 - Initially employed by Santa Fe drilling as Asst Barge Engineer on semi-sub Rig 140,
UK North Sea, working for Shell.
Sept 1999 – May 2000 Employed by various agencies in capacity of Chief Mate onboard
offshore support vessels and R0-R0- carriers.
Oct 1998 – Sept 1999 Employed by International Oilfield Services (ISOL), Nigeria, as Master
on DSVs. In addition to being in full command of the vessel, I took a major role to support
the diving operations onboard, working closely with the Diving Supervisor.
April 1998 – Oct 1998 Employed by various agencies in capacity of DPO and Mate onboard
offshore support vessels and R0-R0- carriers.
Sept 1997 – March 1998 Employed by Saudi Aramco, Barge Division, as Rig Move Master.
Resonsible for supervising Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) laid, 3D seismic survey operation,
offshore Arabian Gulf
Oct 1991 - Aug 1997 Employed by OIL as 2nd
Mate, Ch Mate and promoted to Master Aug
1995; working on Offshore Supply Vessels (OSV) Anchor handlers, operating in the North
Sea, West Africa and SE Asia . During this period I attended a 3 term BTEC HND course in
Nautical Studies at Fleetwood Marine College, Lancashire, UK. Sept 1993 to July 1994. I
attained BTEC HND and a Class 2 Deck Officer Unlimited certificate of competency (CoC).
In July 1995 I attained a Class 1 endorsement to my existing Class 2 Chief Mate CoC.
In March 1997 I attained a Class 1 Master Mariner Unlimited CoC from the UK Marine
agency.
Sept 1984 – Sept 1991 Worked onshore (Manchester) with companies involved in World
wide freight forwarding equipment and materials.
March 1983 – Aug 1984 Employed by Worldwide Shipping as 3rd
Mate on General Cargo and
Bulk Carriers, operating in China, Australia, USA and South Africa.
July 1978 – Jan 1983 Employed as Deck Cadet with The Bank Line. Worked Worldwide on
various general cargo vessels. During this period I attended South Shields Marine and
Technical College to participate in Marine Technical studies courses; Jan 1980 – July 1980
and Jan 1982 – July 1982. Promoted to 3rd
Mate Nov 1982. I attained ONC in Nuatical Studies
and a Class 3 Deck Officer marine licence.
1972 – 1978 Attended Baines Grammar School, Poulton-le- Fylde, Lancashire, UK. Attained 9
GCSE ‘O’ level; including English Language, Maths, French and Physics.
